I listened to Bob non stop when I was about 12 - 14. Life made no sense back then and Bob's music seemed so beautiful yet so simple. He projected the positivity of being alive, even through sorrow. Nights out on the curb in the neighbourhood I'd smoke up and listen to this man I had so little in common with but I felt he understood me, a teenager from Ireland. My parents would say. "That man made his millions" "He's a business man" "Life's not all about relaxing and smoking grass". I know they meant well. I'm 26 now and under so much pressure. Working a dead end job, wonderful girlfriend is talking about moving in, mortgage / rent. Life makes even less sense to me now. I don't know what compelled me to search and listen to this incredible song. But Bob's message just came swelling back to me & I feel free, even if it's just for a moment.

I listened to Bob non stop when I was about 12 - 14. Life made no sense back then and Bob's music seemed so beautiful yet so simple. He projected the positivity of being alive, even through sorrow.
Nights out on the curb in the neighbourhood I'd smoke up and listen to this man I had so little in common with but I felt he understood me, a teenager from Ireland. My parents would say. "That man made his millions" "He's a business man" "Life's not all about relaxing and smoking grass". I know they meant well.
I'm 26 now and under so much pressure. Working a dead end job, wonderful girlfriend is talking about moving in, mortgage / rent. Life makes even less sense to me now. I don't know what compelled me to search and listen to this incredible song. But Bob's message just came swelling back to me & I feel free, even if it's just for a moment.
