    I was literally just thinking that I love how you do your videos in real time when you mentioned it! Others fast forward the weaving process, which we can't do in real life 🤷‍♀️❤️👍

    There are so many great YT videos from a school that teaches all aspects of metalsmithing. They say to heat the metal not the solder and as soon as you see it flow, remove the flame. They have video's for cutting cabs and all kinds of things. I have really learned a lot!

    I totally agree Y any component I can add to my art is ok by me. I really don’t care what anyone thinks! I have all the soldering stuff, but when my components fit like yours did, I don’t bother to solder, the wire wrapping keeps it all together.

    You are simply amazing ... both me and my wife really love your determination and understand what it takes to have to work constantly when crafting is how you survive and pay your bills ... we did the same for many years . Luckily ,I guess.... were older and can rely on our social security now .... but o how we remember the days of 24/7 inventory building and going to craft shows hoping to make more than our booth fee and constantly looking for new ideas that would up our game and sales ... just got say wow , you have what it takes to survive in a very hard business and we really appreciate what you do.

    Excuse me for telling you what to do. But if you overlap the ends the SAW through both ends side by side, simultaneously, that will give you the most flattest matching ends to solder.
    That ring is stunning! I’m going to give this a crack. I’m still all thumbs at wrapping, so wish me luck!

    Definitely need to clean it before you put the solder on, I know very little but one thing I see often by people who do know is clean before adding flux and solder.

    I love watching you work out the difficulties you come across and how open you are about learning on your own! The silver solder in the tube, my brain keeps saying, shouldn't it be copper? Do you use silver solder for everything? I am so lost and confused about soldering but I want to learn so bad!

    • @ruthfish1276
      @ruthfish1276 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes silver solder is right but you use gold solder for gold.
