It looks just like my car. I really, really miss my car. It had fewer miles than this one when it was smashed last year and was running so beautifully.... :( I'd buy another in a heartbeat. They just don't make them this small anymore, nor with such great visibility and that awesome wheel-mounted gear shift. It was top-heavy, though, but I really didn't mind that at all.

The saabkyle04 adventure continues! I really like the first generation of the honda cr-v. I wish it had an opening sunroof. I know it has a moonroof, but I think it has limited functions. I also like the sounds of other vehicles, that's why it's more like an adventure.

Well not all Hondas have rust problems, my mom owns a Honda Odyssey 2005 with 110k miles with no rust and not one problem with it, runs like new, typical Honda reliability
I own the same exact car , just rebuilt the engine aside from the block. When I bought it, it had a burned exhaust valve, #3. All engine mounts were shot. Trans fluid old. It's running great now. Just gotta repair door wiring which is a common problem on these.
@waynefan623 Wrong. The passenger side door and rear doors all have their own window switches. I used to own a 2000 CR-V so I would know. The switches are just in an odd location, right next to the door handle, so it might look like a power lock switch to someone who isn't familiar with the model.
At least the new one are still reliable though. I had rode my grandma’s 3rd gen Honda CR-V and I’m shocked of how smooth the ride was. Maybe it’s was on a good Floridan road or something lol
I have a 1999 crv and in 99 compared to previous models Honda went through the 2.0L engine and found 20 more horsepower compared to previous models. Some pros and cons of the crv. Pros: great awd, reliable, awesome manual tranny, plenty of room. Cons: fuel mileage is not what they say it is, the best I have ever gotten is 22mpg.(and I don't drive fast or beat on it.) This engine and on others I've seen tends to misfire due to the valves not seating right. It revs really high (almost 4000@70mph)
I drive a 2010 CRV, and my dad used to have a 2000 CRV that was identical to that except his was red, and I have to say, when it comes to interior quality, Honda really dropped the ball on the interior quality of the 3rd gen. Everything feels cheaply made, while the 1st gen feels high quality, and the 1st gen has 2 seatback pockets, while mine, which is the exact same trim level has none.

Honda CR-Vs are no longer made with column mounted shifters anymore! This is the first generation!!!
