I don’t speak Korean. I listened to it without lyrics at first, the song sounded so sad to me. When I listen to this song, I can picture myself in an empty room, laying on the bed, looking at the ceiling and reminiscing good memories with people that I love. Jungkook’s voice is so sweet, full of emotions (pain, loneliness, emptiness, boredom, etc) but still very sexy/seductive. His voice is like a warm hug that pulls you in, embraces your lonely soul at a cold rainy night with so much love and reassurance that he’s “still with you”. The sound effects on his voice at the beginning and the end along with the fullness in his voice throughout the the song create a 3D space/atmosphere in my head, just like how the room is so quiet that you can hear your own thoughts speaking to you from distance. Another imagery is that I’m in a coffee shop, the weather is gloomy, it’s raining outside, feeling chilly. People just mind their own business and I feel like I’m invisible, get lost in my own world. OR I’m sadly walking back home but it suddenly rains, so I have to stop at a pub to avoid getting wet. As soon as I enters, i hear jazz music playing while Jungkook is sitting on the stage, singing and looking overwhelmingly handsome. OMG, I just let my imagination run wild 😂 This song is sad but so comforting. The lyrics are beautiful, poetic, romantic, and touching. It’s sad to the point I couldn’t stand staying home anymore and decided to drive to somewhere. Again, listening to this song on repeat the whole time until now. Saying all of this, I still don’t feel it’s enough to describe how much I love this song and of course Jungkook’s honey voice.

This song was posted there and it’s for celebrating birthday of BTS, the 7th Festa since their debut. Although there’s nothing too crazy in this song in term of production like no hard drops or something like that, but I think this song is breathtaking because of how emotional and touch it is. It’s simplicity but full of interesting details (jazzy sounds, beautiful instrumental, the noises of people as if it’s in a coffeehouse, the sounds of rain, echos, sensual vibes, etc.). And of course, Jungkook’s vocal is crazily ear-blessing. His ability to run all those notes playfully always amazes me. Everything just makes you get lost in the song. GOD, I LOVE THIS SONG. I didn’t know that I needed it the most in the past few days. What a great gift for ARMY and everyone in the world right now.

I totally understand what you mean when you say it sounds 'both happy and sad at the same time'. It's bittersweet. The hopeful kind of sad.
For me, it shows itself as a hopeful sadness but is in fact a hopeless yet beautiful view. I don't think that he wrote these lyrics just because he was positive and felt lovely about the situation he is in, in fact, I think that his hopelessness might be his cause to make promises and wishes. This song might be the 'positive' way of expressing his begging to the symbol of love he tries holding on, his fans which he tries to do anything to not lose them. I think he's afraid. So afraid that he keeps acting like a child to not let his world break down, to not lose things he claimed family in such a young age, his will, wishes are limited to his pre-built world. I actually pity him. I want him to find a true will for himself and stop worrying about losing fans, the media, his group etc. I wish all the members to get a silent time out of the ARMY ♡ BTS world. To breathe, to find different families and not have the urge to name their fans in everything they do. They're exhausted and it shows.
Anyways. About Jungkook, I think he needs his own life, dream out of BTS. Because he's in a loop of:
"I'm not the me I see everywhere.
..But I'm no one out of there."
And this song is for his fear of losing the only love he thinks he has. A loud begging from his silent voice.
