Your videos are by far the best tutorials on high security lock picking. The combination of the internal view, your expert commentary on the lock design (and its historical background), your picking skill and the quality presentation is unmatched. Thank you for the effort you make to share your knowledge.
This video is amazing. I've lost count of the number of pickers using an awestruck "nope" and putting it back on the table with no more info than that. Thank you! New sub for sure.
Very nice! I really enjoyed the experiment part. I guess i’m going have to get one of these lock. Thank you for making my hobby a wee bit more expensive!
Great informative video! Thats a very interesting lock. Interesting to know how that coupler works and what it does. I can tell you put alot of time and effort into this...bravo!
Wow... so cool! Thank you for another great one. I'm still working on my r10, but every time I see a video of yours, it makes me want another lock to work on haha
As always it's been a blast to watch the video and enjoy all the effort you and the ones you credited put into the video! To me your video only leaves one interesting point open related to the periphery of an installed lock: How does the lock operate when installed in a door? My 666 is extremely easy to pick in one direction while it's pretty annoying in the other direction. So can the lock be picked into the easier direction (let's say that is ideally the locking direction) and then turned the other way with a plug spinner... Does the mechanism in the door allow picking it a bit beyond closed?
Thank you for your kind words sir! It is an interesting point you make. I dont know how the lock is mounted in a door but Fichet could certainly take advantage of the fact that picking in one direction is harder by limiting the ability to use a plug spinner and making sure the appropriate groove is used for the given direction that the lock needs to actuate the mechanism.
After you make a double rotation to fully lock the system on standard door locks for Fichet 666, you can still rotate the lock a lot. In the lock I checked, which is a basic inside the door lock, the latch interacts with the locking mechanism at the top, when the key is rotated nearly 180 degrees, so it's normal there is plenty of room for some extra rotation when it is double locked. Maybe other design may limit the rotation more, but I think it will still be enough to tension and pick it.
Such a clean presentation and delivery. Bravo! Fichet definitely had nice locks over the ages. What do you use for the endoscope view and the light guides in your video?
Yes I would assume like sfic in the sense that there are two "shear lines" and all the gates have to align to the correct line. however the interaction between the sliders may be more complex than an sfic. In the sfic each chamber is somewhat isolated and in the 666 the sliders are a bit linked by their shared sidebars. I havent picked a mastered 666. Thank you for your thoughtful comment

Thank you so much for your exceedingly kind words. I am so happy that I can share my passion with you for locksport. Be well sir!

Really like all your background research and then seeing how it plays out in picking. Well done on putting this together

Absolutely incredible! Your videos are always such a blast to watch!
Amazing video. Every explanation is clear, pictures are great, really great work !
I always enjoy your videos! Hope to see a lot more of them.

Very nicely done -- never seen the 666 before -- Thanks for sharing
Awesome work on this video mate, thanks a lot for showing ;o)
Top notch vid.

You make it look so easy, makes me want to try one, eventually. Hope all is well sir!

Very good video. Congratulation.
Pretty cool. I like that it's wafered. You don't see wafer stuff except on cars and cabinets, lol.
great info ! thank you!

very informative video
Just recommended you to Bill as he was asking for good picking channels to promote. Hope it helps!
Yeah that would be cool. Thanks!
Awesome !!😉
Am I correct in assuming that this is one of the few locks that mastering makes it harder to pick? I'm guessing it would pick like a SFIC.
