Instead of having a near death experience; it would have been a *plot twist* if Sonic's dad revealed that he was an "apparition" at the end of their conversation leading to the fact that he has been dead for so long. Thus his apparition becoming transparent & fading into thin air.

He missed a few of my birthdays, broke his promises, makes promises he can’t keep and it’s still like that to this day and it’s bs because I stand up for him and what has he ever done for me? Absolutely nothing. The things he does to try to make up for it now can’t change the past.

Well i had to deal my dad like every freaking time he dosen’t shut up,he always bothering me and my family and he doesn’t understand to shut the doors he always keeps the door open and my mom has to clean the floor with broom and mop it even mosquitos entering the house and he dosen’t wash the dishes when someone already wash it and you know one time I had a dog name gypsy do you know what happened to her she got hit by a car because the door was open and she escaped I’m so scared to lose her but I’m just glad that she was ok

Honestly, if I was in Sonic's position, I'd do exactly what he just did. Because Sonic's right. What right does Jules have to just make a sudden change of heart out of nowhere and decide NOW that he wants to be there in Sonic, Manic, Sonia, AND there's Mother's life? Why bother trying to form a relationship after all these years, when you had PLENTY of time to do so and you could have saved yourself this argument? Sonic has been doing great on his own, fighting AND defeating Eggman, saving the world, AND still manages to have a great life with the family and friends that DO MATTER, and he NEVER needed his father. Jules didn't wanna make the effort to wanna be apart of ANY of their lives, so what makes it any different now? Sorry, I know Sonic is a fictional character but this is a real life issue of a father trying to make peace with his family and they won't now because even though he wants to make things right with his family, it's still too late. Leaving them to begin with and just doing whatever you wanted without taking responsibility and taking care of your family was already your #1 mistake! Idk I just see it as is, and trying to analyze the situation, sorry for the rant lol

Idk bout that, but its just straight up facts. If you decide you're gonna leave your family and not think about the consequences or your actions cause you're so caught up in your own world, you really need a reality check cause that IS NOT what a father does. Plus, I have a friend who is going thru if not exact, but similar situation cause her man decided to cheat on my friend and then leave his family and not care what it would do to his children or my friend. I know different case scenario but still, like I said, leaving is your #1 mistake and it serves you damn right at this point if you don't make the effort to come back at all except when it's convenient for you.

Well, if it does happen, it will take a lot for that to change...if he doesn't sacrifice himself for them first, seeing that he has nothing left to lose.
I understand why he looked mad in the thumbnail now… but still, sure Jules was never around since Sonic was born, but I think he feels remorseful for his absence genuinely wants to be there for his family again regardless of fame or fortune. This is Sonic’s decision weather to take him back or not, but I would’ve given him a chance. If he lives up to his promise and wishes, it’d be nice knowing that you have support coming from one more person, your father no less.
