Here I am scrolling along the internet looking for a solution to a problem that I had going on and just like that I ran DIRECTLY into the most DIRECT LINE I've ever could imagine possible! I FELL DIRECTLY on the Floor! LMAO! Thank you my brother I really needed that Laugh at that moment, and I learned something new.
I'm the same way. I mean even if something is working I will modify it. That is why when I buy something I don't pay for a extended warranty because I more than likely will modify it. Good job at fixing thank you for the how to video.
So I'm thinking I want to modify this jump pack to accept dewalt 20 volt batteries since I'm vested in the dewalt line and it would be useful to me. Thoughts on problems with this?
If u use the jumper cord, put the switch on the "on" position, then u'll have a direct path to the internal battery which u can then connect your float charger. This was unnecessary.
Hi, I have a similar unit, the uk 🇬🇧 version. The compressor has stopped blowing air, it sounds like it’s working but if anything it deflates and won’t inflate tyres, any ideas ?
Found the problem, an “O” ring on compressor piston, would take 5 mins to fix, probably cost buttons but manufacturers won’t send me one... great service..... NOT !!
@@snow3519 , the one I originally had was purchased used, I gave up on that because you can’t get spare parts. I ended up buying a new one and it’s great, no problems at all. They are not that expensive, don’t know if you are in the UK ?
@@copperknob1971 ah thanks for replying, although I am not in the UK, I do have a UK version. I think I am going to have a go fixing it with general parts anyway. Cheers buddy
What is the battery A HR capacity, and dimensions or battery part number, I need to replace the battery on one of these , I would rather get the battery, before I take it apart, around here too many hands like to move things and lose pieces, screws connectors knobs what not !!c
Nice hack but I would use an SAE plug like that used on motorcycles and just leave a Battery Tender plugged in to it. It has a long term float charge that won't overcharge it. Thanks for posting. My son is thinking of doing something like that with his.
Hi do you know if it matters which direction the female end of cord is connected to the device? The cable seems like it’s made so only fit one way. However on the device the prongs are the same size. I don’t want to mess up the device. I hope that makes sense Thank you
I have the same power station but someone opened it up and disconnected all the wires... Could u do a video showing where each wire is connected to please?
Does anybody know, how to fix display screen? Unfortunately, I don’t see anything while booster is working no battery bar, no tier pressure. Thanking you in advance for any comment..
If you can trickle charge, you don’t have to do this. The existing jumper cables are connected directly to the battery, you can connect them to the trickle charger without these hassles 🤓
@@tq1900 I'll give the trickle charge a try and update if it works. When I connected the trickle charge to the jumper cables I had to turn the yellow knob to the ON position, so that it connected to the battery. Will update if it fully charges. Yes it does work and it will fully charge the battery. Cool thanks.
Could u show where each wire connects to cause someone removed the wires to everything and clueless on which wire goes where to make it functional again thanks
In his other comments it is stated that things might need modifications or repairs, which he is inclined to do. In this case, he modified the way the battery gets charged, so now the unit will last longer and be used more often. It's your choice of you're willing to do these modifications as well, or if you'd rather buy another unit that will work straight "out of the box"
Mine it isnt charging from the wall at all when i plug it to an outlet im not seeing it charging at all but the battery charge level is at red now sigh
Boost mode? I don't see any voltage at the clamps when turned on if that's what you mean. I do see voltage at the "cigarette lighter" port. Port is rated for 5A...so you might be able to charge at the port up to 5A if your charging isn't working.
Biggest piece of junk I have ever seen. Mine is now securely in the trash can with battery removed. Bought it two years ago, kept it charged and the AC never worked. Junk!
yes I am trinidadian.....it seems to be a problem from the factory with these and it's the fix for me and it works great up to date so try it and see if it works for you
So what did we learn today? We learned what it sounds like to move the pack around. Its helpful to explain as you go. Wow!
Diy is not for everyone bud.. maybe join a pottery class, but definitely stay away from projects like this

wow, your a genius my good man....worked like a champ!! thanks
what's on the other end of the white cord your using to charge direct to the CJ1000CP?
it's a Nippon American 12v charger it works really good it also self adjust for charging

Does the other features work like compressor and invert when you do this direct wiring?

it is hook up to a 12v charger

I would like to know this as well! Did you ever take yours apart and find out what the part # is?

Put a pig tail adapter and plug in a motorcycle battery tender. It will keep it topped off.

CAT selling at Costco . Not sure if it reliable ?
it's very reliable it's just the battery is the weak link
When you say it is the weak link do you mean it will not recharge? Should I keep or return to Costco?

it have two wires behind the plug it usually breaks or go bad but only way to know is to get in there and check it
anyone got the UK version from Costco, and took theirs apart? I want to get rid of the buzzer sound, hoping its an easy thing to do

Use caution with screwdriver, you might push through your palm
Wonderful - but not practical or safe for anyone without a charging area dedicated and safe
Going to modify mine so the lcd indicator will show solar charging
