@customer5032 The Exterior of All public schools in California are supposed to benefit from the lottery. "California Public Schools Benefit. The mission of the California Lottery is to raise supplemental funding for public education. The Lottery has generated more than $46 billion for California's public schools since we began in 1985"
@customer5032 Wrong: "California Public Schools Benefit. The mission of the California Lottery is to raise supplemental funding for public education. The Lottery has generated more than $46 billion for California's public schools since we began in 1985"
First because most people do claim a 200 million win, the ones that go unclaimed are usually small. Two because the lottery funds a tiny percentage of school funding CA just passed a bond issue to fund school repairs.
They aren't doing this story justice. This was the case where there were two winners of the same jackpot on the same night from this gas station. Many theories about why there were two, some suggesting fraud, some suggesting a person had lost their original ticket and got another. So now the second sounds more likely. Or there was something fishy and they decided to be happy with just claiming one of their winning tickets and avoiding a lot of publicity and scrutiny maybe. So now unless they jump in in the next day we will never know what happened.
They should know who it is. Lottery officials usually go to the store the morning after and look at the video of the store the previous days to see who bought it.
If the money goes back to the schools, then why are the school buildings falling apart or very trashy?!?
It goes directly to the pocket!
Schools in LA are funded by propert taxes, not by lottery money.

Would have been nice if they would pull camera footage right after the draw so they have an idea of who bought the ticket.
This is strange. Both tickets sold at this gas stations, but only 1 ticket claimed.

It was washed in a laundry machine with the dirty clothes 😂
The old lady must be from the Philippines
If the winner don’t come out…. It should be put back in the pot!
Time to search everything; house, car, clothing, etc. Sad if the ticket is found AFTER the deadline to claim the prize has passed 😢. 💸💵💰
The word sad is insufficient here. Can you imagine getting up to go to work every Monday morning for the next forty years until you retire?
Damn must be old lady
