Excellent interview. Relaxed, thoughtful, and current. Such a treat to hear Tony's current thinking and reflections, and see him in his own surroundings. I wish this had been a 4-hour or 6-hour piece.

John Lahr's wonderful biography of Tennessee Williams, MAD PILGRIMAGE OF THE FLESH. Tony isn't the only one who recommends it-- I do, too! It's probably the definitive Williams biography. It was published a few years ago.
I was lucky enough to work with Michael, such a great composer!
Tony's voice is wonderfully relaxing to listen to...

Michael Friedman died less than a year later..how tragic. R.I.P. ♥️
I really respect and relate to all of Kushner's books having those little paper dots you see to indicate pricing at book sales.

Amazing interview. Actually, talking to Tony was the most amazing moment during my research in the US some years back. I actually miss that.
What is the book that Michael Friedman asks about at 2:18 that is "the best thing ever written about Dramaturgy"... The Lar?
