Supermack is my hero and what a man to play beside him Terry hibbit,my dad bless him took me to see Newcastle in the sixties and once I saw the ground and the pitch under floodlights I was hooked.

What a player. I saw him outside St James' Park about 12 years ago and went to say hello and introduce my 10 year old son to him. He gave me a look like I was Sh** on his shoe and brushed past me. What an absolute toss pot, I felt like belting him.

Supermac is the reason I fell in love with Newcastle....he epitomised what a centre forward was...he had it all a big fast forward with power.

Tony Green, the finest of players in black and white, 33 games 3 goals, I saw them all, what a tragedy, knee injury which would be sorted these days, Newcastle were bottom when Joe Harvey signed him, masterstroke, 'we bought him from Blackpool his names Tony Green', Yes, Brilliant player.

Would have been our best player ever, absolute travesty what happened to him, tipped to have been a better player than Gorge Best in his football days.

Terry Hibbit was a quality player, Supermac was a striker who was never afraid to have a go at goal, fast, strong. Shame his knee was botched up. He didn't fit the international narrative same as the late great Jimmy Greaves after 66

A serious memory lapse in the first minute here - the first words MM heard spoken in Newcastle were by me, when his Roller pulled up by the Co-Op as I made my daily walk through town, on the way home from school. He wound down the window asked if I knew the way to the ground, which was just around the corner. Just over a year later I was in the Gallowgate end, watching him score the winner in a thrilling 3-2 win over Leeds and wishing I'd pointed him back towards Luton instead.

Kenny & Terry Hibbitt excellent players worthy of England caps but played for unfashionable clubs so got nothing.
