As a clothing seller, I wouldn’t dream of sourcing from boot sales, I’d have no business - certainly not one I can scale. I’m 90% wholesalers (I have a few) and 5% charity shops. And 5% Vinted. the uncertainty of boot-sales isn’t for me! But fair play to you for keeping it going With the boot sales!

@@thegentlemanmarketeer It’s got its ups and downs for sure. You will get stuff you wouldn’t choose…but I honestly couldn’t have scaled my business without my suppliers. Hope the boot sales pick up for you!
Thank you for sharing Simon. It`s important to show the bad as well as the good. I think some people still have the perception that this is an easy job and easy money. It`s now getting a lot harder these days to source decent items and unfortunately, a lot of youtubers and instagramers will only show the good times and not show the true hard work that actually is needed to make a living. Keep up the good work.

I think this is the norm for most bootsales in most areas for men’s clothing only sellers
Why is it you don’t pick football shirts and cricket shirts
At 2.30 mins the rail had a nice England cricket shirt also some other interesting shirts ( I’m only on my phone so not the best to get a good close up on )
I think I have watched all your videos but can not recollect you buying or packaging any

Not putting you down but turning up 10 minutes late is not a good start tec is always early and drives hundreds of miles for the best opportunities i have got my best Items from doing the same thing day in day out i like your business set up which is my downfall i have loads of stock but my setup is a work in progress i was in kent in the week near maidstone also Folkestone is quite good for charity shops

I bought a load of stuff off whatnot- what a load of rubbish. The camera does lie ….. better to see before you buy. 80% of my stuff went to charity. Never again
I've bought things from whatnot and put some of the items in the clothes bank.
I get this. I feel it about Charity shops which are sending their best stuff to sell online which is a sensible business move for them. You did source 2? Items before 8.30am. It would be good to know your travel time, fuel and entry costs vs your estimated profits minus fees to see if that effort was worthwhile. Enjoyed the video and glad you put it out 👍👍

Win or lose when going to a carboot, even in business, sometimes the getting out and about is worth the cost of travelling. I mean many resellers are cooked up in their houses or units etc most of the week working. Sometimes we need to just be free to roam and also enjoy ourselves and interact with people. Just food for thought. The wins usually outweigh the days we come a cropper (so to speak) and if you don't go, you don't know!

once you find a good wholesaler, its amazing because you spend no time sourcing stock BUT be really careful with these bad wholesalers, took me a few orders to find a few good ones so dont order too big to start with

I say it constantly now TH-cam is putting the sellers on game putting the thrift on game. People are getting info now from TH-cam and making connections with vendors everywhere to get first dibs now. Vendors are selling online now also. TH-cam is making online sales a very minimal part time gig now. Influencers are giving it all away and now it’s spreading out to thousands more people.
Fair point, only thing I have noticed is the majority of people don’t want to put the hard work and effort into reselling, it’s a tough game if you only do it half arsed. Hope you have a great week Simon
