Me and the misses head out for my first ever freedive in the southisland. What an amazing time cant wait to go back on a better day or maybe try another spot
Nice one mate. I just about drowned in that channel when I was a kid - a big wave caught me and dragged me across the rock shelf, but I just managed to hang on before I got in the channel. Got pretty badly scrapped up by the barnacles. Never told my mum about that one.
Enjoyed the video. Welcome to the South. Viz is pretty much like that down here, it has to be pretty calm fir a number of days for better viz down this way. That is a fur seal by the way not a Sea Lion. Hope you enjoyed the paua, good size 👍
Enjoyed this vid, recently toured the south island with my dive kit. Hit bluff and Jackson Bay though the Caitlins looked inaccessible from where we were (nugget point). Got a few spots I'd like to return to and spend more time at.
Yeah that part of the coast gets well hammered by the weather ! we got lucky that day with some great visibility ! Im very keen to get back there and back around the bluff area as its definitely full of life ! Thanks for the comment !
@@NzWildBoyTim Can be shit or magic river out flow can make it cloudy if there has been a lot of rain and weedy if the sea has been rough.. Where are you working/Based as would like to head out for a dive... Cheers John..
