I have the momentum in their aus 10 and it's been great. Zero complaints. Takes an amazing edge and seems to hold up well.

I'm so impressed with Kubey now, so many amazing models to choose from- Momentum, Ruckus and Raven are the three I have all amazing budget bangers!

I have only one Kubey and it's a tough knife. My collection has grown to more expensive knives, and the Kubey ends up getting the grunt work in the garden. The D2 on the knife has held an excellent edge without sharpening after plunging it in soil to dig out roots. Absolutely fantastic for cutting vegetation, for weeding, trimming, and harvesting. Gardening is so much easier with a good-sized knife in D2.

The Kubey Thalia is one of my favorite knives to carry. So many deployment options, and so solidly built.

I gotta defend AUS-8 and AUS-10 and especially the "A" annealed versions thereof.
I kinda like them . Cold Steel folders that utilize those steels have always performed very well for me. AUS-8A has always sharpened easily and takes an absolutely molecular level, blistering sharp edge that holds up reasonably well with only minor edge rolling and chipping under most conditions. It has good corrosion resistance as well.
And as an overbuilt hard use folding knife or fixed blade steel, I think AUS-8A is one of the best stainless options available.
I don't have as much experience with AUS-10A but it seems to be simply a slight improvement across the board at slightly higher HRC.
I'll never complain about the AUS steels use on Sub $75 folders or Sub $150 fixed blades.
Oui koinda loik thit knoif stehl!

I picked up the Kubey Dugu. It's a chunky little thing. It's got a pretty strong detent. 14C28N. It's not exactly fun because of its strong detent but it's certainly solid, compact and well constructed.

I'll take Aus10 over D2 any day. It's a $55 knife that frequently sells for less than that. If it was 154 the price would be $75. Kubey does Aus10 pretty well. Calm down MC it'll be ok, no need to blow a gasket. As far as the clip goes Civivi clips from Amazon will fit on most Kubeys. That modelKu333 is called the Leaf.

Actually AUS10A outperformed 154cm and D2 for edge retention in Cedric & Ada’s gear sisal rope cutting test. I love this steel in my cold steel verdict Performs very well. Well rounded set of qualities.

Steel aside, this one of my favorite Kubeys by far. And crazy slicey.

Another great review as always. I like the design of this knife. The blade shape is interesting. I think we have the same complaints on this one. In fact, if it came in 14C28N I’d probably pick one up, change the pocket clip, and have a pretty good knife.

I was debating between their white and black one or a white and black mini bugout
. The bugout just felt cheap like no liner just g10 and the blade for 8x the price

I like the design of this knife but the blade/handle ratio always looked off to me.. I just realised it’s because they extended the handle for that stupid lanyard hole. Makes me want to grind off that part.
And yeah Aus 10 is underwhelming. Wish they woulda used 14c

I like the overall design, but I agree with you, MC, the steel should be much better for the price! When you can get 14C for $56, Aus-10 is unacceptable! Kubey can and has done better, this one is 👎🏻!

I have prepared a detailed 12 point report covering the merits of the super mega grabby pocket clip as used on this featured Kubey folding knife.
But then I decided that was dumb as fook.

There are lots of people interested in various models in various price ranges regardless of how "boring" they might come across to any individual.
