Here in the US we can only add one sim in the iPhone 12 Pro the other sim is an esim which is installed in our phones and can be activated the contacting your original SIM card carrier for example if you use t mobile contact the carrier and they will setup your esim, you would not need to physically install it its already present in the iphone

yes, its possible to cut the micro sim into a nano with some sharp scissors or a knife. It's helpful if you have another nanosim to use as a guide when marking where to cut so the metal contacts still line up correctly.

As the note says at the beginning, this model is only available in Hong Kong and China. Avoid China models though, as they have specific restrictions on FaceTime. If you want two physical SIMs you can import an Apple-unlocked Hong Kong iPhone 12 and it should work perfectly anywhere in the world.
So let's say I choose incoming outgoing calls for my sim from country A initially. When I visit country B, can I swap? Also, I need two WhatsApp for both the numbers. Any clue how that works?
@@Whiteverona No, I decided not to do this. Currently dual sim does not allow for 5G and I live in 5G area/wanted to use 5G. ESIM was another dual sim option, you will have to ask provider for specific information.
Try buymobile.com.au, they may ship to US too. they are based in Hong Kong and have the HK version with dual physical sim. We have worked with them in the past, but we aren't getting any commission or anything from this recommendation, but I know they sell the dual physical sim version online.
You can buy from the apple store w/o any SIM lock. I think even the ones you get from the carriers are all unlocked, as they make you pre-pay and give you a discount on your monthly plan here...
Only China, Macau, and Hongkong versions have real physical dual sim slots because of their policies on telecommunications. They don't want to fully adopt esim technology. That's just the reason behind it.

Unless you live in Hong Kong there’s only one physical SIM card support on the 12 series. One of your providers has to offer an eSim.
Can you run Voice on 1 sim and 5g data on the e-sim at the same time? eg. Att sim for voice and VZ 5g for data?
5G doesn’t work for dual sim at all, once you have 2 sims going, it’ll only pick up LTE.
