i like to listen a wide variety of music, yet there are only a select few where i found it actually worth going to live (yet i have seen hundreds), wintersun is absolutely one of those!
because lets be honest, most time live shows (rock/metal bands) aren't of the same quality you're used to on the CD, wintersun does an absolutely stunning performance though and breaks this whole stereotype in the metal scene!

I HAD TO log in just to like this. Most favourite Wintersun song for me.
And generally... truly the greatest song ever made. This is the main reason Wintersun shouldn't stop playing older songs live in the future.
It was the first Wintersun's song I've ever heard back in 2009 or 2010. I heard it on the online metal radio station, I was doing something else but it attracted my attention and I wrote down the name of the band and the song on a piece of paper to find it later. But when I actually was free to do it, I suddenly started to hesitate ... if it really was that good, perhaps I just had a wrong impression because I was busy ... and in the end I did not search for it. It was the first time that happened to me in my entire more than 30 year history of listening to music. Now I understand why - back then it was not the RIGHT time. The next time I heard Wintersun was in 2014 when a video with the scenes from Hero with the melody of When Time Fades Away appeared as a suggestion from TH-cam. I clicked it and oh dear God, how my life changed since then! In 2009 Time I was not released yet and I would have considered Wintersun as yet another metal band. In 2014 it was a totally different situation and Wintersun's music stole my heart and soul. Time and destiny are one, I have no doubt about it now. And obviously thank you for this and other songs, Jari.
This album had the immense power of turning an eurodance/EDM -lover into a metalhead (I still love dance music though). I feel like Wintersun transcends music as humans know it.

This is my favorite wintersun's song
One of the things I love about the metal community is the strength of passion for music. Wintersun is one of those bands notorious for big lengths of time between albums, and yet people just long for each new release (and rightfully so). I do not think Jari is laughing all the way to the bank from what he makes with his music, but the love and passion and care for music are readily apparent, and I lovee that. I've had the pleasure of experiencing this music live, and it's worth it. Love live metal and love live rock and roll.

Funny how this is one Jari's (and the bands) least favorite song. At least to play live. I can sort or see why but I love it and have deep nostalgia for it.
