Lol, your story is my story friend! Mine arrived a few days ago and I can't stop playing it and nerding out to tutorial/setup videos. Wow is this thing effing awesome.
The Odin 2 is ergonomic perfection. If a bit big. It makes a decent travel companion, but an even better recliner/bed companion. I have noticed the sticks and buttons get slightly creaky with enthusiastic use, but that's true of any controller hardware. I have already ordered a Retroid Pocket 5, but only because that would make for a more compact travel companion (and its industrial design is top-notch). Even though various retro devices have flooded the market, I think the Odin 2 and the RP5 indicate a golden era of top-notch design and capability. We might get weird gimmicky stuff from here on out because differentiating from these two near-perfect beasts is going to be difficult.
I love and still use my Odin 1 i decided to skip the 2 because I was disappointed the screen wasn't bigger and I still personally get so much outta my Odin 1 but with the Odin 2 portal i just had to pre order it
Oled and no bezels is gonna be amazing on the portal. Kinda wish they stuck to 6inches or went the 5.5 like RP5 but I can deal with 7. I thought the regular odin2 was amazing but I ended up selling it to preorder the portal day one. I’m black order 78 so hopefully I’ll be in the first batch!
For ds and 3ds, i found that a tablet in portrait mode is the best you can have for emulation of these systems. With a telescopic controller it's just perfect.
Yooo what a surprise video! The Odin 2 is my first handheld and it’s delivering today or tomorrow! I’m so excited I bought two Terabyte memory cards and ready for the ROM Dumps like I did for the modded Wii let’s goo
Sir you are absolutely correct, breath of fire 4 is absolutely the best one. Any other answer and I would just assume you did didn’t know what you were talking about 😂. You passed the test. I’m still waiting on Odin to make a 4:3 system.
My Odin 2 is probably the best handheld gaming device I've purchased. Those grips in the back really make the difference for me, I'm so glad they added those. Between the grips, the weight, and the overall size it's so freaking comfortable. It's gotten so much emulation mileage since I got it and now that I have fiber internet in my home, PS5 and PC streaming actually work for me so it's been getting even more mileage. I'm torn because I'd like to get the Portal for a no bezel oled screen (after moving to oled switch I know that would be worth it for me) but I'm waiting for people to get them in hand to see how the grips on the slightly bigger device compare.
Seems like the RP5 can run same switch games as odin 2. But odin 2 can run Hoyo games better. Also a better experience for streaming games. The main benefit for me is Windows emulation. Saw some videos of people running cyberpunk on it lol. It's good if you want to future proof your device. But for gamecube, ps2 and wii u emulation, the RP5 is enough for some people.
My brain.... I started up PSO, and threw this video on, and I hear the music from PSO at the wrong area of the game... then I realized it was in your video.... aka that's amazing.
I regularly sing this device's praises to my docile little group of Discord pals. I don't own one, but when I want something, I research it extensively online. The original Odin 2 is most assuredly an absolute friggin' beast, bar none. Android enthusiast fence sitters would do well to pick themselves one up. 🗿
My Odin 2 Pro Rainbow variant arrived 5 days ago. It's design and performance are so effing incredible. So far I've got it set up with 480 of my all time favorite PS2 games plus my GooglePlay stuff. That alone is more than enough, and I can't wait to bring over all of my other favorite retro consoles and arcade classics. Wow do I freaking love this thing. And wow does the Rainbow variant look so clean in person.
Does anyone else odin 2 pro get really hot using the TH-cam app? No ever mentions u can pop of the stick tops, first time it happened i thought broke an analog stick😮
I disagree with DS, 3DS... I think is way better to play here than the real ones, the screen is bigger, better quality, and even with both screens at the same time it actually is comfortable enough to see both screens.
Never saw the point of this device, for the price I bought a ROG Ally instead, for systems up to gamecube and a surprising number of PS2 the RG406V has everything I need and the correct aspect ration. If I wanted more the RP5 would be a more pertinent proposition. It's a good machine but poorly positioned and overpriced IMO.
@N0sTechReviews it's your opinion and video of course, but I wouldn't say it's the king if more than 1 thing bothered me. Like you, I find the buttons loud, the dpad position uncomfortable and it's too heavy, plus the screen is too blurry in motion so I'm still waiting for a king of handhelds. That could've been the RP5 of it had a better SoC.
love that you put pso on this. you are retro youtube king for this lol
Currently waiting on mine to arrive and have watched every Odin 2 video 100 times like some sort of addict. Thanks for giving me my fix for the day 😅
Same, but with rp4pro. But now I want "More Power"! So I will sell it probably, and then buy Odin 2 or even Steam Deck
I know that feeling way too well!
You're gonna love it
I just ordered mine
Lol, your story is my story friend! Mine arrived a few days ago and I can't stop playing it and nerding out to tutorial/setup videos. Wow is this thing effing awesome.
Just ordered the Odin 2 Mini. Can't wait to get it!
I ordered the pro version in black on the 31st. I'm still waiting for it to ship due to being out of stock.😢

Odin 2 = GOAT!!!
I love and still use my Odin 1 i decided to skip the 2 because I was disappointed the screen wasn't bigger and I still personally get so much outta my Odin 1 but with the Odin 2 portal i just had to pre order it
AYN = all you need

I'm trying really hard to resist the Portal, I am so weak for Oled screens :((
@ yeaa same looool
Don’t resist join us. What’s alittle debt to a few months of happiness till another device of importance comes out
Exactly. 7 inches at 1080p is only about 320ppi. Blurry shit.
@@ffxtiduskevin go play on your 7 inch 720p Switch oled lol

Oh my god, finally someone said something about it, hahahaha

I ended up ordering the portal this weekend, I'll most likely have a follow up video about it too!
Love the nostalgic background music PSO
PSO is my favorite game of all time!
I still play it from time to time on Ephinia PSOBB!

i just order the odin 2 portal i cant wait 😍😍
I have the Odin 1 pro, my doubt is waiting for Odin portal or just order Odin 2 pro? I play just ps1 ps2 and nes
Can you help me get SOCOM Bravo 3 working? It keeps going dark in tthe first snow mission
Looking to get an Oden 2 base with my Christmas bonus next month. I'm hoping when the Odin Portal gets released, the Oedin 2 will drop in price.
Compare with near or same price..
Will keep using my RP4P…. Until they do a nice sale on Odin 2…. Probably on New Year or CNY
I bought mine 2 weeks ago with the $15 off sale, came to $275, almost bought a RP5 but less than 300 won me over.
I managed to win a bin on eBay for a Max version for 355. I'm really excited 🎉
See I love the Odin 2 but I can't justify the price lol the Switch 2 is coming out, and maybe Xbox Handheld lol so I'll save my acorns
For Star Rail, you can go to the Odin's settings and spoof the controller as an xbox controller. Then it'll work in game
Oh wow, great tip!
Snapdragon 8 Elite. That's what I'm getting. Best for emulating Nintendo Switch and playing PC games at 60FPS.
Odin 2 portal will be out any day now. Snapdragon 8gen2 | 1080p 7'' 120Hz Touch Screen | AMOLED | Hall Sticks | 8000mAh

Correction: You can get a base Odin 2 for 299$.

Animal Parade mentioned!!
It's my favorite one!!
@ GOOD MAN! Def can trust this guys reviews everyone!! I am waiting on my Odin 2 now lol Delivery set for Wed! (god bless DHL)
I can't see the advantage of this over a steam deck? Am I missing something
love mine. Still king.
we can also play wiiU on the odin2 even if the android version of cemu is not officially supported.
CHAOTIC BAR?!
I disagree with DS, 3DS... I think is way better to play here than the real ones, the screen is bigger, better quality, and even with both screens at the same time it actually is comfortable enough to see both screens.
Hey that's completely fair! It's not cause I don't like doing it that it's totally not worth it!
Hi can you make..winlator tutorial..thank you

A bit late to the party are we?
The rp5 button placement is terrible it doesn't stamd a chance against the Odin 2. Yall 💤
Not a fan of the buttons, not a fan of the shoulder buttons, not a fan of the dpad position, 10/10.
All of those are, as mentioned in the video, personal preference, me issues or nitpicks.
The device is still great and super versatile
@N0sTechReviews it's your opinion and video of course, but I wouldn't say it's the king if more than 1 thing bothered me. As of today the Odin 2 has been dethroned by the Odin 2 Portal 😂
Bit late 😂
Gotta work with what I got 😂
Too big and expensive. Rp5 seems to do 80-90% of odin 2 much cheaper and smaller
90%😂😂😂
The RP5 looks really good!
I am waiting for mine right now
Yeah, no, the rp5 is really good if you want to play Game Cube and some ps2 it's having issues with demanding games
And odin 2 has more input latency compared to rp5
@@brantingsWho told you that? My Odin 2 have literally 0 input lag.
rather get a steam deck
I agree. I have a Steam Deck, but I ordered the Odin 2 mini for portability to play on my lunch breaks.
Android 🤢🤮
