    With the first lick when you say you practiced 5 minutes a day with a metronome, did you bump up the speed within the five minutes or stick to one speed per day? And did you bump it 5 or 10bpm each time?

    • @EricBourassa
      @EricBourassa  ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn’t bump the speed each time. It’s like lifting weights- you wouldn’t increase weight resistance EVERY time. I would stick within a small window for several weeks (like 60-80bpm), then maybe push it an extra 5bpm for the final minute. Spend 80% of your time going slow and easy and you’ll be surprised how quickly speed increases

      @@EricBourassa yeah I’m a metal core guy a song called “sound of truth” from as I lay dying during the solo, I’m sure it’s a common riff, just thought it was funny it was in the exact same place at pattern, and I was learning that solo, and thought it was funny it was my favorite guitar riff

    Ok... Honest question... First video Ive seen of yours.. No comments?
    Not sure if you answer comments but Ill ask..
    How does that Fly feel in your hands and what would you compare the action to? Ibanez? Jackson? LTD? Ive been playing for quite a while and Ive never picked one of those axes up.. I am interested in them.

    • @EricBourassa
      @EricBourassa  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Parker Fly feels like a shred guitar for sure. The newer ones (after 2003 I think) have a slightly thicker neck but still super low action. Buttery smooth. They’re like the Ferrari of guitars

    Man thats a crazy guitar. You damn sure dont see it much I've only seen one other person play it, and thats the guitarist from the band Alabama. Its apparently pretty versatile to go from country to this lol

    • @EricBourassa
      @EricBourassa  ปีที่แล้ว

      haha yeah definitely versatile. It's a great guitar, for sure. Very polarizing- people either love or HATE it
