Girl gone wild was a bop and MDNA has some absolute bangers like I'm addicted, feels like after 2006 people counted her out before giving her a chance. Sad
Girl Gone Wild is in my top 5 or even top 3 from her whole discography, it reminds me of April 2012 when i was 14yo and this song was very popular in my country's Airplay, i love to listen this in April and May in every year and feel that nostalgia again ♥️
lol as a foreigner livin in Japan, they really like Hello Kitty and it correctly represents the kawaii culture that exists in Japan. The only ones having a problem with the song are Americans basically for being over-sensitive for a matter they have zero knowledge about.
the worst part about Birthday and 911 is that both are 10/10 songs, and Top 3 from their albums imo. And even worse is that 911's MV is easily one of the best of the decade. It was a perfect single choice, since it got the most attention bc of it's (incredible) transition from Chromatica ll when the album dropped.
Hard agree, 911 is my favorite song on the album and a top 3 Gaga video. I didn't really think of it as a flop at the time, but yea, Sour Candy did better even without a video.
I found it very refreshing that Katy dropped BIRTHDAY after DARK HORSE ... 2 songs which can´t be more different ! In my opinion THIS IS HOW WE DO was taht kind of single who killed the era...
Almost everything you mentioned for Hello Kitty is untrue, lol. First, the song was only released officialy in Japan, so the fact that it charted on Billboard even if it was not released in the US is already impressive. Second, her hiatus doesn't have anything to do with Hello Kitty or the album itself, she got sick due to Lyme's disease and has to recover. Do some more research next time buddy.
I think Sour Candy should’ve been the third single with a proper music video and then she should’ve released 911. I think Sour Candy would’ve reached a bigger audience if it was promoted more.
Lady Gaga really dropped the ball by not making Sour Candy the third official single. I never really cared for 911, though the music video is great! If not Sour Candy, Replay was the obvious other choice
911 is a fine song but I agree with you. Sour Candy should have been a single. It was my favorite song from that album. The fact that she released the album during the pandemic didn't really help with her comeback either.
Sour Candy legit can give her a guaranteed success with the fact that BLACKPINK is presence there so for her to not make that a single or Replay (which imo is the most loved non-single alongside with Babylon for Little Monsters during that time) is just a biggest miss opportunity right there!
911 is better tbh. The thing is she didnt really treat it like a single. It got a music video but she never serviced it to radio. So its kinda like a non-traditional release
River by Miley cyrus /// tell me you love me by demi lovato // the man - Taylor Swift /// Exes - tate mcrae // i luv it - camila cabello /// single soon - selena gomez
Panic! at the Disco were signed to Decaydance Records before they played a live show. Their very first TV performance on Last call with Carson Daly. They performed I offspite since not tragedies and the entire audience is turnt. Look at the date when they performed that. Then look at the date of when that song was released as a single. It was only released 3 days previously, but wait there was more. You hash remember last call ocarson daily airs at midnight It was technically 3 days a 4 hand but literally I like sense. Not tragedies was onto the radio for forty nine hours and it had an entire studio audience turnt.
Jennifer Lopez - Hold You Down Ashlee Simpson - Outta My Head Britney Spears - Slumber Party Jessica Simpson - I Belong To Me Janet Jackson - Rock With U Christina Aguilera - You Lost Me Ciara - And I
Actually “Rock n Roll” killed the Avril Lavigne era because the song was leaked one month earlier, and she released the music video one week before releasing the actual song on the plataforms… like… who does that?
Am I the only one that likes ''Hello Kitty''? I find it absolutely fun. The directors of the video even said they came up with the concept of the video and Japanese people said they never felt offended.
"the era ended quietly" the pandemic had nothing to do with that? not excusing the track not charting but... we do remember there was an entire tour before a literal pandemic?
Justin hasn’t had a hit in so long, I can’t even remember when. His last albums didn’t make any impact at all. Maybe it has to do with personal issues he’s dealing with, as well as the fact that he’s gotten older.
This Channel doesn't know what it's talking about... Nothing Madonna Has done has Bombed darling!! She didn't even Promote Girl gone wild so that's probably why it didn't chart.
Incredibly bad analysis from someone who doesn't know what they are talking. The vast majority of these singles were released before or while touring. Katy Perry, Miley , and Gaga went on to have sold out shows and their respective "eras" lasted at least one more year from their last single.
this person legit has no idea what they are talking about, because if they did then they would’ve mentioned how Kesha literally released praying, woman, and learn to let go literally right after each other. Praying was released on July 6th then the next friday she released woman, then the next friday she released learn to let go lol… woman was made into a second single literally (no joke) 7 months after its release when the ‘era’ was already over, they sent it to radio just to see if it was gonna go far pretty much, while learn to let go was never released as a single and just remained as a promo single. Stating that either of the promo singles she did for fun “killed the era” is so nonsensical when the Rainbow era’s entire point was veering away from charts and focusing on rebranding kesha from a ditzy party girl into an actual artist with a certain view.
I don’t enjoy MV. To me they are like movies and acrual songs are like books. There are no reasons for a HP film franchise or HG film series or Divergent and Maze Runner film franchises. Never read LOtR or Teilight to have an opinion but so feel they didn’t deserve movies either. I don’t feel Red Queen deserves a Tav series nor did GOT deserved one on 2011-19. Percy Jackson didn’t deserve two mkvies and TV series not Spiderwick Gheonifles a movie and a TV series. Just let things up to the imagination than showing us as majority of movies are either disappointing compared to books or mediocre to books and here-and-there better than books.
Thank you. Filthy was released less than six months Can't Fight the Feeling fell off the Top 100. Can't Fight is Justin's most derative song. It was the theme song of a Troll's movie. Filthy was such a large departure.
Irs funny how u sometimes call a song charted on #9 #17 flop but #96 one modest 😂
Girl gone wild was a bop and MDNA has some absolute bangers like I'm addicted, feels like after 2006 people counted her out before giving her a chance. Sad
Avril didn't take a hiatus because of one underperforming single. She was suffering with lyme disease and needed a break. lol

I love that song when the album came out but hated it when the video came out

She could have gone with some cyberpunk sexy imagery, instead of what we saw in that lame video.

Girl Gone Wild was SLEPT on because of Ageism, because its easily one of her best 2010s single.
It’s a good song for sure
These songs are mostly either deserving flops (“Hello Kitty”) or undeserving ones (“Girl Gone Wild”, “911”, “Adore You”, “Woman”)
It’s so great and so underrated
Revolver is betta
@ Revolver has not aged as well as “Girl Gone Wild”. It’s kind a relic of the era

Hello Kitty was my favorite track on that album! 😊
Girl Gone Wild was a superior song. It really deserved more 👀
Girl Gone Wild is a banger!

Ashlee Simpson’s “Out of my Head” from her Bittersweet world album 💿
