- You can add cool neon light effects to your photos in Photoshop. This Photoshop tutorial will show you how to make colorful glow lines and darken your photo to look like it is night. You can create neon lines of any shape and add realistic light effects. You can also adjust the laser light beams to any color.

Easy to follow steps, thanks ! I'm only wondering how do you know by heart how to take all of these steps from scratch? Most of the layers are making sense logically, but sometimes I lose track on when to use which kind of layertype or mask/filter to create a certain effect if I don't have a guiding video like this. I always tend to open TH-cam to find solutions like your video. I think I will need a lot of more practicing and especially Photoshop knowledge :-)

Great tutorial.. after completing it I added an animation to make it look like it turns on, first blinking a few times until it stays on. I never thought it was possible to do this kind of stuff in photoshop..

hey guy, I want to cut out only the visible part of an object that I put behind another, I can't seem to find a video about it as simple as it should be .Any help please ?
You can use the Quick Selection Tool to select the object. Then you can right click, select Fill. Then select Content-Aware. There are different techniques which will depend on the photo.

One question: Why do you begin drawing with red and then change everything to blue in the end? Why not just use blue from the beginning?

I have Photoshop CS6 and for me the red etc. is not even close to glowing like yours. I followed the tutorial 100% do you know why its so weird?
What size is the document or photo you are using? This photo I am using is 1920 x 1080px. If you are using a larger photo twice the size, usually you have to double to settings.
why didnt u use the curves adjustmnt layer
Hi Zam. You can use curves, it is up to you. Many different ways to do it.
How did you make the white brush line stand out so much? mine is dim and blurry
Check the brushes "Hardness" and "Opacity" settings.
9:33 could not rasterize because the pixel data for this layer is not directly editable. (any help !!)
I did not rasterize anything at the timestamp. Are you having issues brushing white? Make sure you select the layer mask thumbnail (not the main layer.)
its not letting me change the width of the glow mark it just changes the whole size How do you make it flat?
Hold the Shift Key when increasing the it. That will make it just increase the width and not the height.
how come when I right click and choose stroke path and then brush, it comes out as a huge fat thick line?
The line depends on your brush settings and photo size. Select the Brush Tool, decrease the brush size. Then you can stroke path and your line won't be thick.
everytime I click transform for the red blur to change the size it outlines everything in the red gate wth am I doing wrong
Make sure you select the red blur layer first. Then you can transform that specific layer.
Is it possible for me to turn the stroke path into ah circle ?
Yes. You can use the Elliptical Marquee Tool or Ellipse Tool. Set it as a path.

Select the Foreground Color to be Black. Then the gradient tool, select Foreground to Transparent.

You can use the "Rectangular Marquee Tool".

When I make the lines with pen tools, then right-click it, stroke path can't be clicked. Anyone knows why?
Mine was because the background layer was locked.
Make sure the layer u trying to make it is selected on the layers tab
