Hi Julia. There's no plan to stream the event this year but you can follow closely on our social media channels, and we'll bear that suggestion in mind for future.
Well, William the Conqueror, the victor of this battle historically, was of course from Normandy! It'd be an insult to our heritage to NOT have a few French involved! :D
Weird, how pretend warfare is so much fun... Part of me really wants to join in and part of me is a little aghast, that I could find anything ‚fun‘ in something, that causes so much pain and suffering to people in real life. Human psychology is soooo weird! Please interview a couple of these people about that, I would love to know, if the people who actually do this, feel at all conflicted about it.
As one of the combatants, its a privilege to do it, its brining history to life. And keeps the memory going. It brings participant's from all over the world. And we hold a memorial for all the fallen.
I would but according to the faculty sponsors of my university's medieval society the American group that used to go was banned 😂 (which is completely understandable)
I loved seeing the "Bar" banner. Every soldier deserves a pint before and after battle. :)
Will it be streamed? I'd love to see it but Im in Canada

Oh darn! Love the channel btw, It reminds me of the documentary series Victorian Farm
So odd and chilling to hear those cries of war over such a green and pleasant looking country!
Was the outcome any different this year?? 😀
I'm French, flew in from America to England to participate in the Battle of Hastings 2018.
I'm French, am I still allowed to join? 😄
Unruly Crow
As one Irishman said to another watching a pub brawl start: ‚Is this a private fight, or can anybody join in?‘ 😉
*Steven Universe* I’m American and I ask permission.
It's better to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Forgive my eyes for misread the title
My eyes read this as " join us for the battle of *Hastag* 2018"
