@@InfiniteDrift I think it's the same reason people put torches on the bookshelves to lower the cost of the enchantment when you don't have 30 levels
I legit had that problem in my world as well. I had 15 bookshelves in the perfect setup, and i was wondering why the hell it was saying level 14 max for the enchants. Then it clicked for me, it was because of the carpets.

Drift I was waiting for you to just build a whole tower of books in a bid to get to level 30 :P You defo need to remove the carpets though lol. You only need 15 bookshelves :D And they have to be no deeper than two layers. Any higher and they're just decorative and won't contribute to the enchanting :D

i read somewhere that medieval houses were built like that bc taxes were based on the square footage of the ground floor.

My second favorite on this island so far (behind the lighthouse) I dont know if anyone commented this yet but I’m pretty sure you had some more amethyst in the chest in the lighthouse- the same one with your secret four diamonds that I was screaming at you through the screen about this whole episode hahahaha

Quick tip for your strip mines. Leave two blocks between tunnels.
[B][T][B][T][B][T] means that when you dig the second tunnel, half the walls have already been seen from the first tunnel.
[B][T][B][B][T][B] means that each tunnels is showing two never seen walls

Empty bookshelves can be crafted. You can put books in them if you have spares.
Hey I just wanted to point out that sugarcane grows faster on sand and that you should leave 2 blocka inbetween corridors to make a more efficient strip mine. If there’s only one block inbetween then you see the same block on both sides and end up wasting the picjaxe as well as time.
