On a serious note and from a Muslim he's bang on 100%. We as human beings are fallible and sin often without thinking twice - whether it be pushing/barging past someone in a rude manner through to drinking alcohol through to assaulting someone - they're all sins regardless. We as Muslims should strive to be the best that we can be, following in the footsteps of the final messenger of Allah (swt) despite being fallible sinners. Asking God for forgiveness and repenting after a sin doesn't make it right, but it at the least shows humility to the point that you feel ashamed of your actions in front of Allah (swt) and shows that you know that he is the greatest, the highest, the creator - and it is he alone that can forgive you. A humble sinner who repents and does tawba is better than an arrogant and obnoxious one who doesn't care.
