  • Frankie Cartoscelli and Brenden Nunes present another edition of Return of the Roar (a Sacramento Kings podcast) on Sactown Sports 1140.
In today's episode, we dive into their potential routes to improve this offseason: draft, free agency, and trade. With a variety of options in each regard, many aspects will need to be considered to optimize the team, not only now, but in the future.
From Malik Monk's looming free agency, who we'd prefer between Kyle Kuzma, Zach LaVine, and Brandon Ingram, draft prospects that could be considered with the 13th pick, and more.

I agree with Frankie. The comments about MB were ridiculous. It's like fans forgot the Kings history with coaches. I don't know how they could after 16 years of failure. Also, MB does NOT have the players to match up against certain teams. There is no doubt he was definitely searching for a player to match up in some way, but the Kings don't have the length and size to match up against some teams, ie the Pels.

Monte has to deliver this off-season. This is a pivotal time because Fox and Sabonis are not getting younger and it seems the Kings are missing a few pieces to really make a move in the playoffs. They need size, length, and a brute who loves doing the dirty work and getting into opponent's faces. There are way too many "nice" guys on this team and they desperately need some attitude.

@@SactownSports1140 Bobby Portis, OG, but he's asking for a lot of money, Dillon Brooks if that is possible, but it is not. The Kings desperately need an aggressive player who gets into opponent's faces. I hope the Kings trade the pick to acquire more size and length. I think Kuzma makes a lot of sense because of the money, players, and picks needed to acquire him, but will that move the needle....I'm not sure.

@@justinshumate6232 I like all these players as well. The Kings need size, length, and hopefully a shooter or decent defender, a combo of both skills even better.
