Taylor Swift is back. So the entire quarantine, she make songs. She incredibly amazing song writer, not gonna lie though. Old Taylor is back, nope, she was always there
If you listen REP or LOVER you will notice the differences from folklore. Except exile, cardigan, the 1 and last great American dynasty all songs are similar. Please don't judge me I am swiftie too. I know this album showed up with lyrics and some stories but like every songs are familiar with each other. Yeah I know taylor doesn't have to make hits songs in every album like love story, cruel summer, I did something bad. But when the rep and lover came up I loved every songs at first listening with no exceptions. Especially all of the rep album songs were really great. But folklore is kinda boring to me. I just liked 4/15 songs in it but like I said I have liked %100 percent of songs in REPUTATION and LOVER. This is not her best work but not a bad album too.
çicek gùnes it could just not be ur style. i personally loved every track while i thought some songs on rep & lover were generic & boring. it’s personal preference. :)
I love how raw and real Caitlin is. She is such a beauty. You are not the only one the album hit emotionally. Its okay to cry. I am crying. Lots of love.
This is the only album made entirely of songs that are not about her personal life, and yet I find this album so personal and vulnerable, more than RED, more than Lover. No skip on this album for me, I love all the songs and the way they are all connected, it's a whole story, it's like a book.
I feel like taylor knew when she was releasing this. This album goes with the mood of what's going on right now, we didn't need for an album full of happy bops. I (personally) needed an album to be my safe space, that helped me heal.
Don't get me wrong but this video is your best reaction video. true feelings, looking perfect, perfect mood i love it but also seeing you crying broke my heart, i hope everything will be better soon Caitlin! We love you! I low key want you to see this so please someone give a like or smth idk how it works
Also please do not think we don't care about your life cuz at least i do :c And no youre not the worst reaction channel i rather this than "i don't care about the lyrics lets just vibe" kind of video (yep, i've seen one already)
This is Taylors magnum opus, her best album. This is Taylor at her most mature. As much as I love her pop sound but I really wanted her to go back to country roots but she took a more alternate approach, and I'm so glad. This entire album is unrankable.
Whoever hurt you, does not deserve you. Loved this reaction, its so honest and pure, just like the album. Let the tears come out you are going to get to the other side stronger ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I don't even like to let anyone see me sad and cry but every vid your raw emotions shows and that is really admirerable. Enjoyed your reactions as always ❤️ Also Taylor just saved 2020.
This album is one of my favourites ever. It’s not just sad, but it’s calming. The whole aesthetic goes so well with the situation we’re all in this year.
Girl, it literally feels like she reads my diaries and writes songs about my life. Also I’m a huge crybaby so you’re not alone. Let those tears ricochet. 💖
it's so cool how you can cry in front of the camera and just let the emotions roll through without hiding your feelings. also, don't be sorry for being over emotional. we love you
I think it was good she changed genre, because since she’s in her 30s she went more matured with Alternative, just how when she was a Teen she was country then young Adult she was pop.
This album is something else. It's a whole experience that even I, a longtime swiftie that has never cried hearing her songs (don't judge me), am dumbfounded by how much emotion caused by this one. Something about the composition that gets to you. Definitely not for everyone, but ultimately rewarding for those who's willing to embrace it.
NEVER feel negative about crying to music. it means that we didn't just listen and understand the song but we felt it in a certain way. We related and/or connected to it. EXILE hit me good. That song made me visualize like it was in a movie. Girl, i cried watching you cry to it.
The three songs in question, which Taylor otherwise calls " The teenage love triangle", are; 'Cardigan' 'August' and 'Betty'. All three songs feature very similar plotlines and nuances of detail so I am most adamant that this interpretation is wholly accurate. 1. 'Cardigan'- This song is written in the perspective of 'Betty' who we hear the name of later on in the album. The metaphor of the cardigan itself has multiple meanings. One being that Betty herself feels like an old, worn cardigan "under someone's bed", she is cast aside by her lover (James) and feels neglected of affection. The second being that cardigans are normally associated with comfort and homeliness; her lover realises that his real place is with her, hence the lyric "you put me on and said I was your favourite". Essentially, James isn't good with commitment and breaks Betty's heart by flitting around with other girls, however, realises his true affection for Betty, as she narrates "I knew you'd miss me when the thrill expired... I knew you'd come back to me". 2. 'August'- This song is written in the perspective of 'Inez' who we hear the name of later in 'Betty'. She is the girl who James had an affair during the summer with "would you trust me if I said it was just a summer thing?" (Sourced from 'Betty'). This song takes on a revisitation of her role in the love triangle and how she recognised that her romance with James was just a whim and a summer fling "Will you call when you're back at school?/ I remember thinking I had you". This song coins a very similar line to the one found in 'Betty' when it says "Remember when I pulled up and said 'Get in the car' " so we know they are linked stories. 3. 'Betty'- This song is written in the perspective of 'James' who is the young man causing this entire conundrum. The song sets out as almost an open letter to the recipient 'Betty' hence the title. He talks of how he realised her cold shoulder towards him when she "heard the rumours from Inez". Perhaps alluding to the concept that Inez is bitter that the fling ended and so wants to almost 'punish' James by exposing his infidelity. He is genuinely regretful of his decisions which he believes were created by his immaturity "I'm only seventeen I don't know anything but I know I miss you". He contemplates turning up to her party to apologise and reconcile, which he eventually does "Betty I'm here on your doorstep and I planned it out for weeks now". When they do meet again they share a meaningful kiss. James stands in betty's cardigan, this image symbolizes his acceptance of Betty for all that she is; she is his home. Therefore directly linking to the concept explained above in 'cardigan' You are welcome everyone 😂 x
I might just be repeating what everyone else here is saying, but I'll say it again, don't apologize for feeling or letting out your emotions. Just let it out. I am going through the same thing. First time I heard this album, esp. The One, I cried too. Even if it's still hard to say, at least for me, we'll get through this💖✨
The fact that u still react to it this day even tho you're not in a good place rn and crying out ur feelings coz the lyrics are relatable af amazes me.
i just saw this so the storyline Cardigan: Betty's perspective August: the story of the girl James cheats with. Betty: Jame's perspective so to top all of that james cheats but betty knew that he would come back when 'the thrill expires' and that explain the last line in 'cardigan'
I watched this months ago, and just now watched your "evermore" reaction, because I knew I'd relate to you. Came back here to see how you've progressed. Just want to say you're beautiful and strong! I didn’t have it in myself to go with grace - state of grace (red)
You’re the hero flying around saving face - Superman (speak now)
If I’m dead to u, why r u at the wake - look what you made me do (reputation)
Cursing my name - the way I loved u (fearless)
Wishing I stayed - all you had to do was stay (1989)
Look at how my tears ricochet - teardrops on my guitar (debut)
Bro that’s freaking genius!!!!!
Also “And I still talk to you (when I'm screaming at the sky) And when you can't sleep at night (you hear my stolen lullabies)” being a reference to the headlines about it and my stolen Lullabies talking about her past music
COOL!!
Awww
I’ve listened to it like five times, and “and then it was bought by me” still gives me chills
Same!!!!
my jaw dropped lol
One of her BEST songs
Which song?
@@enesjesty848 the last great American dynasty.
as a guy i have a really hard time connecting with my deeper emotions and crying - but seeing you be so open about yours, really helped me feel these songs in a different way - thank you.
She made this album in two months. TWO MONTHS.

You’re the best 🙏🏻😔♥️
thank you a lot
I love how raw and real Caitlin is. She is such a beauty. You are not the only one the album hit emotionally. Its okay to cry. I am crying. Lots of love.
“But what you did was just as dark” is the most underrated lyric in my opinion
This is the only album made entirely of songs that are not about her personal life, and yet I find this album so personal and vulnerable, more than RED, more than Lover. No skip on this album for me, I love all the songs and the way they are all connected, it's a whole story, it's like a book.
PREACH. It’s my new favorite Taylor Swift album!
Except invisible strings and seven ❤️
Shoham Agam what no these songs are amazing
Angel they’re amazing!! I mean these two are about her life and not betty🥰
Don’t apologize for having feelings. The whole point of music is to make us feel things.
I feel like taylor knew when she was releasing this. This album goes with the mood of what's going on right now, we didn't need for an album full of happy bops. I (personally) needed an album to be my safe space, that helped me heal.
"She's literally fvcking dead in this song and I'm supposed to be here like 'ok' " jdkshfh
This dreamy ass vibe is everything...and I also liked that a lot of the songs were explicit. And also this is my fav Taylor album. Period.
As a capricorn i would never allow anyone to see me sobbing for TS music, but girrrrrll , your reaction spoke to me like no other. sending love!♥
yea same i jus cannot but i definitely do when i’m alone
Don't get me wrong but this video is your best reaction video. true feelings, looking perfect, perfect mood i love it
but also seeing you crying broke my heart, i hope everything will be better soon Caitlin!
We love you!
I low key want you to see this so please someone give a like or smth idk how it works
Also please do not think we don't care about your life cuz at least i do :c
And no youre not the worst reaction channel i rather this than "i don't care about the lyrics lets just vibe" kind of video (yep, i've seen one already)
girl i literally spent the whole video crying with you this was honestly therapeutic, thanks :''')
It’s crazy how Taylor can still write out our thoughts and feelings that we couldn’t get into words
every time i feel like crying but i don’t want to do it alone, i come to this video
This is Taylors magnum opus, her best album. This is Taylor at her most mature. As much as I love her pop sound but I really wanted her to go back to country roots but she took a more alternate approach, and I'm so glad. This entire album is unrankable.
can we talk about this is honestly one of my favorite youtube videos ive ever seen for how honest and real it was?
she was born to write and sing an album like this
Not me finding this channel and sobbing over a folklore reaction 3 months after its release
Guess what we all cry, i just post it on the internet.
Caitlin you are a gem.
Whoever hurt you, does not deserve you. Loved this reaction, its so honest and pure, just like the album. Let the tears come out you are going to get to the other side stronger ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
When you said sorry for being overly emotional I was like No! Girl don't apologize for showing your emotions and vunerability that is brave!! I don't even like to let anyone see me sad and cry but every vid your raw emotions shows and that is really admirerable. Enjoyed your reactions as always ❤️ Also Taylor just saved 2020.
hands down one of the best reactions of this album, we all went through it at that point last year
This album is one of my favourites ever. It’s not just sad, but it’s calming. The whole aesthetic goes so well with the situation we’re all in this year.
Girl, it literally feels like she reads my diaries and writes songs about my life. Also I’m a huge crybaby so you’re not alone. Let those tears ricochet. 💖
I really can picture all of these songs in my head especially Betty .
She has the ability to tell an entire story in a few words. It's like watching a movie.
it's so cool how you can cry in front of the camera and just let the emotions roll through without hiding your feelings. also, don't be sorry for being over emotional. we love you
"Who just unsubscribed"
Not me because I just subscribed. Don't feel bad about crying, I'm crying with you❤️😢
Don’t worry, I was having the worse month of my life back when Taylor released folklore, and I sobbed during every song 😭🤍
SAME😭🤍
I think it was good she changed genre, because since she’s in her 30s she went more matured with Alternative, just how when she was a Teen she was country then young Adult she was pop.
" CHASING SHADOWS IN A GROCERY LINE"🥺 that line makes me tear up every time that painfully hopeless but somehow still hopeful love
It's okay to cry, it's so comforting to see someone express emotions. It's beautiful.
This is my comfort video
"i can't believe how sad this album is. i love it so much." the ACCURACY
I started crying when my tears ricochet came on, when it said and you’ll hear my stolen lullabies I just lost my shit
I’m used to you being so smiley. You crying literally broke my heart
“I have never heard bon iver pronounce words before” 😂😂
This album is something else.
Therefore directly linking to the concept explained above in 'cardigan'
You are welcome everyone 😂 x
James is a girl
the girl james cheated with's name is unknown and inez is betty's friend
Thank you for this! It must have taken forever to type 😂
@@lu-th2nq yeah
I don’t think it’s Inez because why would she go around telling everyone about her own affair
I might just be repeating what everyone else here is saying, but I'll say it again, don't apologize for feeling or letting out your emotions. Just let it out. I am going through the same thing. First time I heard this album, esp. The One, I cried too. Even if it's still hard to say, at least for me, we'll get through this💖✨
I'm literally listening to cardigan right now.
two words to describe this album: aesthetic masterpiece
"i cant beleive how sad this album is... I love it so much" YEP
The fact that u still react to it this day even tho you're not in a good place rn and crying out ur feelings coz the lyrics are relatable af amazes me.
I just want to hug her so bad and tell her that everything's gonna be okay
Same!!!
Same
OKAY I CARE ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL LIFE -- your well being is of primary concern here! Don't be afraid to not be okay, please.
I don't know why but after all the sobbing I just did with you for each track the soft and genuine "Who's James?" sent me omg
This album is perfection. Yes, she did that.
TAKE ME BACK TO THE FIRST TIME I LISTENED TO FOLKLORE
i just saw this so the storyline
Cardigan: Betty's perspective
August: the story of the girl James cheats with.
Betty: Jame's perspective
so to top all of that james cheats but betty knew that he would come back when 'the thrill expires' and that explain the last line in 'cardigan'
james is taylor
whoaaaa wow
Nooooo the third one illicit affairs
do we know who Rebekah is?
unknown anonymous she is the previous owner of Taylor’s house in Rhode Island
I watched this months ago, and just now watched your "evermore" reaction, because I knew I'd relate to you. Came back here to see how you've progressed. Just want to say you're beautiful and strong! If I did a live reaction video for these albums, it would look exactly like this.
Also, I want to do a reaction video to your reaction videos, and then watch both of us falling apart and loving TS so much. ❤
Yes this time every swiftie cried and they are still crying cause I'm and yes we don't skip your videos ....
I am so happy India has Swiftie fanboys too!

Don't apologise sis, love how vulnerable and brave youre being
"Track 5 it's my tears ricochet and I can't wait to get hurt. " lmao
We are all shook when she dropped this album on us. Like hours before the actual release but I can forgive her because this album is a masterpiece too. This is my favorite album of her. ❤❤❤
I have a biannual watch of this video where I just sob
No one is ready.
No one is deserving.
No one is NOT crying.
Everyone's 2020 got better.
I still come back to this reaction every couple of months, when I’m in my feels. ❤🥰💔
"The Last Great American Dynasty" is about a couple who lived in her house before she bought it, and also, the woman's nickname was Betty, which is the name of one of the songs.
This is my comfort video fr ✨❤️
