In this video, I am unboxing a canon wireless colour printer model name PIXMA MG3070S. It's a low budget colour printer which gives about average print quality and supports scanning. The price is around 4000INR (Nov 2019).

The printer was a bit complicated to hook up th-cam.com/users/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 but it does the job very efficiently. I like the ink wells versus the ink cartages that cost an arm and a leg. It prints quickly and the quality is excellent. It shuts off when not in use, so you have to remember to turn it on. Overall, it exceeds my expectations. I'll update my review in a couple of months.

This printer does not support borderless printing and it consumes ink more quickly than other brand printer of the same class.

I also have the same printer. can you help me how to reset it? We didn't use it for about 4months. The black ink is empty and I'm waiting for my CISS kit to arrive. I want to reset it before installing the CISS kit. Please help me I need to use it for my exams.

It does not support borderless printing.
How do you turn this thing off? I swear when ever i turn it off the power light just keeps on blinking. And when i try to turn it on, it wont turn on because it's never off. I had to remove the plug all the time to shut it down completely.
Sir what can be done if we lost the CD which comes along with it? Because I lost it before installing the drivers.

Yup, you need to still use a computer though if that’s what you’re asking
1.Make sure that the printer is turned off before connecting the USB cable.
2.Connect the printer end of the USB cable to the USB port on the side of the printer. ...
3.Connect the other end of the USB cable to the USB port on the computer.
4.Turn on the printer by pressing the Power button.

Ink not empty in tank
You can install a ciss tank. But I am not sure about its printing capacity.
(Generally, a set of 100ml bottles can print upto 2500 pages. It may vary on your usage )

I have the exact same printer which lasts for about 2-3 years, before the blinking warning starts to show up. And I also realised that the ink cartridge isn't moving during the startup. Previously, I did a check and find nothing caught underneath the printer, so I was suspecting could it be some impending hardware issues?

1) Usually while printing by PC, ink level is displayed. But you can also check details in control panel. I haven't checked in the smartphone app.
2) yes it is still on sale. You can buy it.
3) whether it is value for money depends on your usage. It is good for occasional use since the cartridge is expensive.
4) I can't say that it is the best since I have no idea about other brands. But I'll say go for ink tank printer if you print in higher volumes.
Its a cheap crap disposable. When ink is low you throw away.

Ok. This printer is good for light usage and not economical for heavy use. For heavy usage, ink tank printer is recommended.

For back to back printing, you need to manually turn and re-insert the page after printing one side

Yes it can. But make sure to use appropriate type of sticker paper. Because most of the time, inkjet and laser printers use different sticker papers.
I am a candle business owner and I bought the canon pima ts302 and its not printing my labels correctly what settings do I need to have it on in order for the labels to come out right. they come out cut off

Yes.
Scanned files can be saved in pdf format.
Other option available is jpg format.

The cartridge provided in the box have very low capacity. Only 20 prints possible.
Replacement cartridges are available with different capacities (Small ,XL, regular). You can check prices online

How many pages can be printed from one cartridge?
Depends on usage and cartridge capacity
Regular black cartridge can print approximately 80-100 pages
XL black cartridge can print around 150-180 pages
Colour cartridges have even less yield
But is there a possibility of printing without actually scanning just clicking print from the phone through the app

There is copy option in app

Yes.
You can connect it to smartphone and use "Canon print" app to print directly from it.

Yes ,I to have a same question
The cartridge that comes with the printer are very low capacity. Prints only 15-20 A4 pages each (black and white / colour).
You can buy replacement cartridges which are available in different capacities like small, regular, XL. The XL gives almost 200 black & white prints and almost 180 colour prints. But it really depends on your usage.
You can check the price of these cartridges on the internet or shopping apps. (PG 745 cartridge)
This type of printer is recommended for only occasional use. For high printing capacity at low cost, go for ink tank printers.

Press the network button multiple times to toggle through the selection.
You have to download the canon print app to connect to your phone
You don’t really need the disk it’s only if you don’t have a WiFi connection or a very old computer.

Yes. Both the cartridges need to be inserted for printing

No it won't print with an empty slot.
You need to install both.
But if it happens that one of the cartridges becomes empty after usage, then you can change the printer settings and print with only the one that has ink in it with the empty cartridge still in place.

Actually you can refill the cartridge. But you need to drill holes in it to do so and after filling ink, you need to cap it off.
You might need to buy a kit for it

Is it okay to print Shrink paper?
You can.
But it depends on the sheets you are using as well. Ensure that the sheets are printable.
Do take a note that the specifications state that 275 gsm is the maximum weight of the paper it can handle.

Look for options like page layout, scale, crop, zoom in the print dialogue box.
Hi how to install the disk?
Just insert and run the disk in your PC and follow the instructions.
If your pc doesn't have CD drive, you can install it from the canon website too

i have some ink warning signals even the ink is filled.. whats the problem with my printer??
See if the cartridge is properly inserted. Even so it can happen when you replace the cartridge. There is a procedure called as print head alignment that you can carry out.
If that doesn't work, you can try resetting the printer.

Instead of WIFI we can use Mobile Data to access all this function ?
Mobile data cannot be used to connect.
The printer has wifi which you can connect to your smartphone/pc wifi in a local connection (no internet)
Or you can connect printer and smartphone/pc all to the same wifi network to print.
Does it work on glossy on paper type on settings?
Yes
There are settings in the app to select the type of paper. Glossy photo paper works too.

In this printer you have to replace cartridge when ink runs out
How to connect to wi fi
Turn on wifi on your device & search for MG3000 in available networks.
Connect to it and even if there is any message like "couldn't connect to internet" then keep the connection on.
Then print using canon print app on smartphone or if you are using PC, select proper printer from drop-down after print command (drivers should be installed on PC)
E470 or this?? I bought e470 . Whats the difference?
There are very few differences between the two.
The E470 has a couple of more features like bi directional printing, supports apple cloud storage, etc.
Also, it has more monthly print volume capacity.

You have to do it by manually flipping the paper after printing on one side.

Plain Paper: 64-105gsm ,

There are options from HP you can look at.
But the fact is these replaceable cartridge printers are good for only occasional use. For heavy usage, an ink tank printer is better as they are cheaper to run.
Cartridge printers have low initial investment but the cartridges are expensive with low yield. Ink tank printers have higher initial investment but have a higher yield.
