Correction just few families went uk as compensation of dam.Fact is that most of people from district mirpur & attock used to work in ships in 40s & 50s in Bombay when ships harber uk ports they stayed there.before uk mirpuris used to go Australia in 1890 and so on.few people from mirpur went uk in 1916.example ratta & old mora kanyal & many more villages never came under water of dam but thay all settled uk in 50s.

In the whole thing i understand in your Kashmir series is outstanding work of azad Kashmir govt for tourism sector these areas very difficult to do work in Mountain areas and just not give facilities but maintain it we are living in sindh and dreaming for seating bench in tharparkar rani kot fort gorakh hill keenjhar lake even sea view Karachi seating benchs are broken no public toilet any tourist spot in sindh we are crying for basic facilities

There was only passport office in karachi agents arranged there passport and ticket for UK Theresa's no visa requirements on that time
You're mistaken about the reason why there are lots of people from mirpur living in the UK, the first people from mirpur first settled in the UK in the 1920s, the mangla dam project just made migration to UK on a bigger scale
