Am a guy from Southeast Asia country and have been traveling to many countries in Europe, America, Africa and all Asia. After all the travelling mostly for works assigned by my company. I can say China is the best. Very safe, convenient with very good public transportations, very clean everywhere, very organized, people are friendly, foods are so delicious and pretty of choices. This is one country that I never think of not going again. For safety, we just look at her on her this video. She a young beautiful American white lady can even cycle out of the city to countryside rural places alone without fear of her safe. This has proven how safe China is. Unlike many western MSM fake reports.
What a slice of life in China! This video was so well done. Love it. Always, look forward to your wonderful videos. The musical score perfect. Sending you much love❤❤ from Richmond, VA. Jim and Harriet
It is so much fun walking around, observing all the interesting things. I like the way you present all these foods, places and people, especially the history part cause I love Chinese history.👍👍
Your channel is just as beautiful as a David Attenb. documentary. I love people and love Chinese people and culture. I worked for a Chinese fam restaurant and my best friend in the 90s and probably my entire life was Chinese. I love your channel. So much beautiful, honest and real cinema.
That is because the Chinese are friendly. In other countries, young beautiful ladies like her cycling alone into the countryside could be in dangerous meeting strangers. But not in China.
@@panyaboonc5621 Because Xi'an is a inner city, there is no much foreigner to go there. If you go there, maybe will feel a little bit awkward surrounding by crowds. But in big city will not happen.
@@lei-ic5ig yes, the Chinese are curious when they seem foreigner with different skin colors. But they don't harm her, take advantage of her or discriminate against her. They are still friendly to her and there is no danger at all for her to wander around. This is what I'm trying to say about safety in China.
Yes I fully agree with you The little boy catching the falling leaves really is the highlight, something cute and innocent that's sadly disappearing in most parts of the world. Either you see poor starving children in poverty stricken countries or in affluent countries children are engrossed in playing video games with little outdoor activities or enjoying nature's beautiful environment.
To paraphrase Homer Simpson: "Mmmmmm. Lamb!" Also: "Umbrella Boy" was adorable. I love to see that, up to a certain age, children are the same no matter where you are.
Katherine this is your best episode yet. I am a Chinese living in the DMV for 20+ years, so we are 半个老乡 😄. 你的vlog越来越有味道了! Chinese ordindary lives from an American expat's perspective, and you even brought upTRUMP LOL. That 's must see TV for me. And the real chef's kiss in my opinion, is the dog love triangle. So good

I love the fall colors ! Thank you Katherine. Your channel is always so interesting. China is fascinating ❤❤ the people are so friendly ❤❤ good job dancing ! ❤❤
Xi'an is indeed a very lovely city. We were there in 2019 and recently in September 2024 for 7 days. The food was great, the morning market of 'Little South Gate' was interesting with lots of great eats and fresh produce and the people were very friendly and kind. Although Katherine complained about the gloomy weather in November, I much prefer it to the unseasonal hot weather in September. At least you could move about without sweating buckets! 😅
You look gorgeous. It's clear that a serious relationship really can change people. You look much more happier than last year or before. Have a nice time in China.
It is quite impressive that Katherine understand those old aunties, me as a Chinese don't even understand what they are saying without looking at the subtitle. lol
Xian is such a lovely, vibrant place, and everything seems to be so harmoniously in place. Even the animals look so happy and even loving... Thanks to Katherine... as always... who has such a great lovely personality. And, she handles politics pretty well... hahaha... 😘😍🥰
Hey Katherine, your dancing and kung fu stick are very good. You're indeed a special person, so worthy of the book that that nice gentleman gifted you. What a kind man he is. 真有缘! He kept emphasizing about 缘 yuan. Must be a very special book. When you read it let us know of your review. Anyway, those people in China whom you chatted with, the aunties, uncles, the young and old, they are all so lovely, friendly and cute... and they love you too! Enjoy! 😘😍🥰
1:10, I'm curious how powerful the stove should be to pump the steam all the way to the top😄 7:12, the boy playing with the leaves, almost like a scene from a Hayao Miyazaki movie, so beautiful! the book the guy gave you actually has an english version named "into the desert". it's about the struggling of two women in the northwest china. the Chinese version was published in Aug 2024, not many comments by far.
I’m glad that you showed some of the park culture in China. It’s fascinating to see all the various ways that people there enjoy their parks. Perhaps you could do more episodes about this aspect of the culture?
It’s been a while since you solo travelled around on a bike to show us amazing places with amusement like the US-China banter and your fun take on the roaming animals. You deserve another chef’s kiss had you given the spinny dragon a go! :D
This is a great video showing a different aspect of life in China away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I wish I had time to visit those places that you have been to. Please continue your journey and tell us your adventure.

You are incredible! A great video about the random days in Xi'an, a medium sized agriculture land city in China. Enjoy your travel and stay safe and health in winter time!👍👍👍
Katherine, your video about rural and small-town life in China has always fascinated me. We are all TH-cam watchers, and we really enjoy it a lot. Your dance skills will improve in no time.
Interesting views on parts of hidden Xian which were rarely visited and filmed. I love it, thank you Katherine. Ordinary people will always be curious about you being a lone American beautiful woman appeared in their midst!🤩
Hi Kat, it has been a while since I commented although I seldom miss your uploads. Just like you, I also love to visit local street markets when traveling. Nice to see you still have a keen interest in animals including birds like the azure-winged magpie you captured in this episode. Do share some clips from your bird feeder as I am curious to know what your regular visitors are. Following your footsteps I was at Urumqi and Dali recently. Will visit Xian soon. Looking forward to more of your videos.
Those birds are in my yard often but they don’t eat the seeds in the bird feeder, maybe they eat bugs or something , sparrows are the main bird feeder visitors 🐦
Katherine, you are even more beautiful that that tree-line street. Your sense of humour is hilarious; the George Michael music with the love triangle music - too funny! Aysajan is a lucky guy.
Good to see you back on the saddle again, albeit by yourself. Interesting video, interesting interactions with the local, not to mention the dancing and the kung-fu. 👍
