    Tabitha and Mila, what a beautiful explosion of color! Tabitha, I JUST learned that Steel Blue was reactive about 3 days ago. I was making a piece that I silk screened an enamel design on and was so bummed when I took it out that it looked like a blackboard (that was fused at a temp just to sinter the enamel). It was fine for what I was doing (it was NOT devit at all). Then part 2, I turned the design face down onto a piece of Tekta for a full fuse and I was shocked to see that when full fused face down on the Tekta, the blue came back, lol! Anyway, cap your Steel Blue if you want blue, otherwise it will end up, well, looking like steel! Gorgeous project by you and Mila, thank you both for the inspiration! ❣❣

    Congrats Mila! Beautiful piece. Quick question... Why did you not use one layer of tekta (3mm) and put the powder and then the elements on top and fire that way?

    • @TabithasGlassEmporium
      @TabithasGlassEmporium  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Diane, as we did a full fuse, we needed the 6mm for full fuse and also you get more depth in the piece doing it between the layers. Also it prevents movement of the powder when you placing the elements on top.

      @@TabithasGlassEmporium Could an alternate way been to use 1 layer of tekta, then powder, then elements and tack fuse? Would that have worked?

      @@dianedeczynski4251 Yes it would, you can do that way as well
