“To stand in defense of truth and righteousness when the majority forsake us, to fight the battles of the Lord when champions are few-this will be our test.” Testimonies for the Church, vol. 5 p. 136.2.

Such is the problem of Sola Scriptura. The Dean of the Adventist Seminary in Berrien Springs is reading into the text what he wants to believe. Since he is fallible, his interpretation can be in error.
The bible comes from the Church established by Christ, the Pillar and Bulwark of Truth (1 Tim 3:15) and is where the manifold wisdom of God is known (Eph 3:10).
If Christ wanted woman ordained, he would have taught that to the apostles, and the apostles would have handed it down to their descendants. And the descendants would have taught their descendants.
Suggest that the Dean show where early Christians professed his interpretation of Scripture.
It seems that he is bending to modernism, allowing the culture to form him rather then him forming the culture.
Our culture believes it is charitable to say "yes" to nearly everyone.
The most loving thing to do, always, is to stand for the truth and in this case say "no".

The church is the bride of Christ and like an ordinary bride is to be corrected by the bridegroom, Christ himself. We know what the apostles taught by the Bible Alone. Anything that comes after them must be tested by scripture and we have many unbiblical doctrines introduced by Rome over the centuries

@@deus_vult8111 " We know what the apostles taught by the Bible Alone."
No, not one verse of scripture says so. In fact, scripture itself teaches something quite different.
_So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, EITHER by word of mouth or by letter._ (2 Thes 2:15)
And not one word of the New Testament was put to writ until around 50 ad, the last some 20 years later. The apostles did exactly what Christ commanded: they went out and preached the Good News.
_ And he said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation._ (Mk 16:15)
" Anything that comes after them must be tested by scripture"
And there is nothing that the Catholic Church teaches that contradicts scripture. And that which is tested by scripture, must be tested in the interpretation of scripture, handed down by the apostles to their descendants. Nothing less.
