I love watching people show and explain what they’re using 😊 I also especially love watching you talk about what you’re using! Please stop apologizing! It’s all wonderful andddd you’re not alone with just hugging your traveler’s notebooks 🤣 thanks so much for sharing, Mits!

I loved this video. I just bought an older TN with the original Midori on the bottom back. Got it on eBay. Cannot wait until it arrives. I also finally, finally caved and purchased the Superior Labor pen roll from Baum Kuchen. At end of last year I special ordered an art TN from Apple Pig in naked leather. He was such a dear to work with while we tried to get my needs sorted, I’d buy from him again in a heartbeat. I really enjoy seeing what others are using. Your set up is quite interesting. Thanks for sharing.

I totally understand about just holding and rubbing my leather covers..... I have found that in a way it’s actually therapeutic for me. It’s my way to show love and appreciate my covers as well as recall my joyous memories of when I received each one. So, no, you’re not weird at all. 🥰

I enjoy watching what other people are using to get ideas. And don’t feel bad about switching or being indecisive. I figure as long as they are all loved and used who cares. I used to put so much pressure on myself to finish one notebook or journal before I start another but then I would just give up and not write at all. So now I just switch depending on mood :) I also have so many different TNs for various audible courses or TH-cam lecture series I watch. I think it’s because I’m ADHD but I go back and forth between TNs and various topics of studying for fun.

Don't feel silly at all! There is definitely something about the tactile aspect that seems to be shared by those of us who like to journal! I often make notebook covers out of painted papers, and I always put a couple of coats of gel medium over them, and honestly, i too just love the way they feel, more than any other material. I know it's personal preference, but it's why I couldn't stick with planners with hard covers, or Happy Planners with the laminated covers. I don't think it's unusual, from what I've noticed among "creatives." Thanks again for sharing all your journals.

Don’t feel bad about holding your leathers....I still find myself holding my leather covers and even the leather folder. I’ll find myself sniffing them and rubbing. It’s kind of calming for me. The Weeks is a tight fit for weekly writing and I tend to write on the big size. I enjoy all of your videos and feel like I’m listening to a friend tell me about their love for analogue systems that work. Sometimes I do find myself wanting to switch sizes, but I go back to the standard TN inserts and they just work for me. Thank you always for sharing. 💙💙💙

I'm at the point where I'm constantly changing my mind on journals, too. 😄 Right now, I'm working in a composition book that I write in every morning, and a smaller more personal size journal that I write in at night. 🙂
Wonderful video, Mits! Lovely journals and planners. 😊

While I admire those who can make pre-printed planners work for them, I'm so glad that I don't use them. When I use my Bullet Journal, I never worry about blank pages going to waste or having to catch-up. If I want to try something new and different, the next page is a perfect canvas. I do change notebooks whenever I fill one up, which gives me the opportunity to use different notebooks and different TNs. Currently I'm in a Chic Sparrow B6 Slim in Pemberley Tenerife Sea leather. The insert is a MD B6 slim grid. Before that I was using an A6 size. I'm in bliss. I have complete planner peace whether I'm using a passport size or an A5.

Hooray Mrs. Mits. What a lifesaver! " you don't have to stick to one junk journal per se" pffff I was thinking for days what booklet to start junk-journaling in... not getting anywhere because it was SO overwhelming at this point... Now i gonna use all three junk-journal booklet I bought!! Great tip! 🙌🏽

I love to watch your videos, Mits. I also like to hold my leather tn style notebook & I don't always journal in it, but it is with me when I want it.

I would love to try that Nolty 1180. I haven't been able to find it in the US. I enjoy your videos. You are so funny when you laugh at yourself holding your covers.

I love using weeks for work! I do write much smaller in it than I do in other notebooks and planners, but I use an F pilot prera (which as a Japanese pen, is more like an EF) and it's perfect. I use the left daily side for daily todo items, which keeps me honest without taking on too much. I use the right side for notes for the week, but supplement with the back when I run out of space. I use the corresponding pencil board as a bookmark when I'm using extra pages in the back. For the type of work I do, I sort of enjoy that it forces me to carry things over from week to week, and makes me cut things. Like I said, keeps me honest!

Your Apple Pig reminds me of the leather Tanya uses at handstitchedleathert. I forget if you have one of hers? The leather is so lightweight, like the weight of cork, but it's so beautiful.
I love the texture on the inside cover of your LeRight!!
I decided to forego the Cousin this year in an effort to journal in some of my beautiful notebooks I already own. I'm using different sizes and am enjoying it so far. I'm in an A6 Kokuyo Campus right now, then will move to an A5 Kokuyo Mio or a passport TRC lightweight paper, or maybe a standard TRC in kraft paper. I'll decide when the time comes 😊
And yes, we all hold our notebooks just to hold them 😊

I love this video! And yes once you get into the cousin size it’s so hard to go back to A6! Also this video reassures that I’m not using too much notebooks/planners/journals at all! They all have different purposes!

Thank you for the video! Haha, I don't use covers normally for my journals but I find myself regularly just holding them for some time and/or just flipping through the written pages several times.... and I may not journal at all into them eventually.... haha It seems I really like the feel of them... So you doing this with your leathers feels very familiar to me...!! I especially like to flip through my hobonichi cousin ( I also have the avec) and a weekly pocket Moleskine I recently bought... Which is weird to flip actually because basically, it's empty lol... But I just like how the black softcover and size feel! I hadn't used this before and I got really excited about how much I ended up liking it! I ended up plan in it actually instead of the hobonichi weeks (which I had to repurpose) because I can see the spread all at once in this pocket without moving my eyes too much (lol) which is not true with the hobonichi weeks which is rather tall...! I had never thought this would actually be a factor for me...! I originally had bought the pocket for journaling and the hobonichi weeks for planning, not this way around, haha...!!

hello Mits, I wanted to tell you that I liked to see the picture of the three on Instagram of my dear Esther Molina and Eva with whom I was at the Traveler's Company Caravan in Madrid event...I would like it so much that more events of this type will be organized in Barcelona. Kind Regards 🧡

I really enjoyed this video. If your not following VickyBee you should. She's the queen of changing her notebooks, a lot, a lot. This year I stepped away from brown and got a Huckleberry (a sort of pink leaning to purple) Chic Sparrow and I love it. So maybe breakout into a new color for the cover you still need.
