The time when a man went to visit the Prophet Muhammad (saw) in good health and then the next year he was not and even had someone to help him travel and walk. Our blessed Prophet (sallalahu alaihi wa salaam) asked him what did he do to be in that condition and he said similar, that he was doing fast like Prophet Daud ( like every other day)?
...and he told the man that Allah subhana wa ta a'la is not in need of us like that. Be healthy.

I have been doing taraweeh 8 rakaat every night but not witr. This video couldn't have come at a better time so now, I will do witr 1 or 3 rakaat after the Taraweeh prayers. Jazakallah Khairan from Malaysia!

The Ummah has been doing 20 Rakaats for OVER 1400 years. 8 OR 11 Rakaat “Taraweeh” is BIDAH. The “8” refers to TAHAAJUD
The speaker is yasir qadhi who used to be a salafi but still believes in some of their deviated opinions. Don't believe everything he says.
All 4 Schools of Fiqh/ madhabs agree that Tahajjud & Tarawih are DIFFERENT prayers with different characteristics.
All 4 also agree that Tarawih is 20 rak'ahs Sunnah while Tahajjud is usually 8 nafl (or more) ending with witr.
Tahajjud can be prayed every night whether it is Ramadhan or any other month but it should be prayed AFTER waking up from sleep .
So in Ramadhan, in Makkah & Madinah & Aqsa etc, ppl pray 20 rak'ahs Tarawih then they goto sleep for a few hours then wake up & pray Tahajjud then witr then at Dawn they pray Fajr.

Qayam ul Lel - Nafal namaz after Isha without any sleep.
Tahajjud - Nafal namaz prayed after Isha but with sleep in between.
Taraweeh - 20 rakahs of special Ramzan prayer.
Tahajjud can be offered once you wake up for Sahoor in addition to Taraweeh in Ramzan.

I don’t think it invalidates your fast, but delaying opening your fast is against the sunnah of the Prophet SAW. I’m not an expert though, Allah knows best

Assalamualaikum brother, I am confused that since childhood we learnt 3 rakat of witr like maghrib salah and in the 3rd rakat surah fatiha and any surah say Allah hu Akbar and recite dua qunut then ruku and sujood, our ustaad thaught us even my mother too learnt in same way, so please clear my confusion.
If you pray 3 rakath witr, first rakat after fathiha recite sura 87 al ahla; second rakat after fathiha recite sura 109 al kafiroon; second rakat after sujood don't sit. wake up to continue third rakat. Third rakat after fathiha recite sura 112 al ikhlas. Third rakat after ruku before sujood recite qunooth in standing position. Then after as usual go sujood finish salah...

Tahajjud & Taraweeh are DIFFERENT.
They are NOT THE SAME THING.
-- Tahajjud is mentioned in The Quran: "Stand up at night except a little."
Taraweeh being a Sunnah was established through the hadith of Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) who said:
"I have made its standing a Sunnah for you."
-- Tahajjud was ordained by Allah SWT in Makkah as a compulsory fard prayer but after 1 year, it was made optional /nafl.
-- Taraweeh was prescribed in Madina by the Prophet salallahu alayhiwasallam as a Sunnah. It was only done for 3 nights because the Prophet (saw) feared it might become a compulsory fard prayer. This proves it is something NEW unlike Tahajjud which was already being performed, individually, EVERY NIGHT - in Ramadhan AND OTHER MONTHS and it's obligation had already been abolished.
-- Everyone agrees that the number of Rakaats of Tahajjud have been transmitted by Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), the maximum being 13 including Witr and the minimum being 7 including Witr.
For Taraweeh, the Sahaba agreed upon 20 rakahs and this is the Sunnah as established by all 4 Schools of Fiqh /madhabs.
-- It is mentioned in the reliable books of the Hambali Madhab, Muqna: "Taraweeh is 20 Rakaats which a person performs in Ramadhaan in Jamaat. He will read Witr after it in Jamaat. However if he reads Tahajjud then he will make Witr after it."
Meaning that Tahajjud can be performed AFTER Taraweeh which is what happens in both Makkah & Madinah today.
-- Tahajjud is generally performed after sleeping while Taraweeh is performed after isha.
-- All hadith books differentiate between these two prayers by placing them in different chapter headings:
"salat ulLayl" = Tahajjud
"qiyam ramadhan" = Taraweeh
-- All Schools of Fiqh /madhabs agree that Tahajjud & Taraweeh are DIFFERENT prayers with different names.
-- Only Salafis & Shia & Qadianis believe that Tahajjud & Taraweeh are the same thing!!!

Taraweeh and tahajjud are DIFFERENT salah. Sahih Bukhari mentions them separately. كتاب صلاة التراويح and كتاب التهجد. Most Muslims have been praying both taraweeh and tahajjud in Ramadhan.
It's funny how you're using the methodology of the mu'tazilah. No one says that Dhuhr transforms into the Friday prayer on Friday. If the legal requirements of Jumu'ah Salah are not met, you HAVE to pray Dhuhr on Friday. The only reason we pray 2 raka'at Jumu'ah on Friday when the requirements are met (i.e. minimum number of people and various other requirements) is because the Prophet SAW ordered us to do so.

Taraweeh cannot be tahajjud cause Taraweeh is been prayed right after the Isha prayer and tahajjud is the prayer which is prayer after getting up from the Sleep ..
So broadly Taraweeh and tahajjud and Witt all can be called qiyam layl but All qiyam layl cannot be tahajjud …. The condition of tahajjud is exclusive and that is waking up from sleep is conditional for the tahajjud ..
I think in the recent speech Dr Yasir has spoken clearly on this aspect of I am not mistaken.
Qiyaamul Layl is Tahaajud but NOT Taraweeh. Also, the condition of Tahaajud doesn’t require one to go to sleep, the “condition” of Tahaajud is the “time period”, mainly the last part of the night before the time of Fajr commences.
Tahaajud is a SEPARATE Ibaadat from Taraweeh. Tahaajud is prayed ALL year around in increments of 2’s with 4 Rakaats being the minimum and 12 being the maximum. MEANWHILE, Taraweeh is EXCLUSIVE to Ramadhaan and is 20 Rakaats

Its not correct know that all are one taraweeh , witr and tahajjud. It is different and taraweeh do not have count and it is announced UMMAR katab as 20 rakahath. It continued long years same.. But why it is reduced now .. That's is questions

No, Taraweeh & Tahaajud is NOT the same Prayer. Taraweeh is ONLY Prayed DURING Ramadhaan & Tahaajud can be Prayed ALL year around INCLUDING Ramadhaan
Taraweeh is 20 Rakaats while Tahaajud is a minimum of 4 Rakaats with the maximum being 12 but Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) used to perform 8
This is the way the ENTIRE UMMAH has practicing for over 1400 years
@@SincereRz never been a set number of rakas & the minimum is 2 rakas. Both are nights prayers that u can do years round depending if you wanna get up during the nights or doing it right after Isha.

What taraweeh means ? Night prayers; don't u pray extra prayers after I have. The 8 rakas is from the prophet (pbh) he use to do 8 + safr & with. Tahaajud is also Night prayers but the difference is u got to go to sleep & wake up to pray.
I only just listened to the first 30 sec, but i have to comment, the statement is wrong- taraweeh is not the same as qayam ul layl, and tahajjud. This is a very common misconception amongst some groups of people. If you study the works of sahabah and salaf, it’s very clear that these are not the same.
Edit: listening to the next 15 sec - witr is NOT the same either! Simple detail - taraweeh is prayed between ‘isha and Witr.
Witr is prayed after Isha, and after taraweeh.
Qayam ul layl or tahajjud is prayed after witr - typically right before fajr.

But Sayyidina Omar and the rest of the Sahaba and Tabiin and all the ulamas of old did 20+3. Manority of muslims will do 20+3. Teraweeh is not like tahajjud. Teraweeh is only in Ramadhan. Allah knows best.

Prophet Muhammad PBUH wouldn’t pray more then 11 rakat of Salah in Ramadan and out before midnight. He only prayed Isha Salah. Taraweeh was put in place by Umar Bin Khattab RA after the death of the prophet. Insha’Allah does whom are listening to this video, will read Sahih Bhukari and understand what the prophet prayed. Isha is not Tahajjud Salat! It can not be, because you are supposed to read your 8 rakat of Isha Salah, sleep, wake up a couple hours before Fajr, pray 4 or more extra Salah and finish with your 3 rakat of Witr before Fajr. This is called Tahajjud Salah. Don’t let these videos confuse you.

@@kumail122 yes exactly the prophet Muhammad (saws) never read it in congregation,. Umar forced it as something mandatory,. Imam Ali(as) didn’t really have a chance to correct the innovations of the usurpers because he was dealing with civil wars,.

Ambiguous. Did our Rasul ( sm) named Tarawi? Authentic Hadith says our prophet used to pray 2×4 + 3=11 rakats in .Tahajjud.
and at late night .through out the Year including Ramadan. So who named Tarawi?
Now he did not performed this salah in early night and in mosques .Moreover in Ramadan if this salah is to be performed in mosques, though our prophet didn't, then who can change his 11 rakat to 23 rakats?
Salat performance about method and rakats are Only depends on our prophet not Caliph,Caliph has not given that authority by Allah in Quran or any where to change the rakats or time, Conversely Caliphs can never do this by superseding our prophet. Again Rasul sm
Performed this salah at late night but Why Tarawi is performed in early night? So what our Prophet did, in the Name of Tarawi the totality of the prayer is being totally changed

-Taraweeh and Tahajjud are NOT the same! Imam Al Bukhari puts them in separate chapter, just as all the great Muhaddithin did.
-120 000 Sahaba Ra. All of them prayed 20 rakat, All Tabien prayed 20, All from the first 3 generations of Salaf prayed 20 Rakat. All 4 Imams of the Sunnis i.e. Abu Hanifa, Malik, Shafie, Ahmad Ra. prayed 20 rakat. No Islamic book older than 100 years contain other than 20 Rakat Taraweeh.
-Now the Millions of Ulama for the last 1400 years expecially those from the Khairul Quroon, understood Sunnah and Ahadith better than the khawarij/wahabis/fake Saudi scholars of the 21st century!
-Umar Ra. would never make 20 rakat up just from his own desire!
-The Hadith about Tahajjud, Narrated by Aisha ra......... Aisha ra. and other Sahaba would never have allowed Umar Ra. to invent 20 Rakat Taraweeh without valid reasons!
-20 rakat is the Ijmah of the Sahab ra.
-The word Taraweeh in arabic indicates that Taraweeh can NEVER be 8 rakat.
-Some people think that the Ummah of Rasulullah saw. was misguided for the last 1000 years and suddenly the guided ones appeared 50 years ago in the time of Fitnah, and found the Hadith about 8 rakat.
-All of the Ahadith were thoroughly studied by the greatest Ulama in our Ummah for over a thousand years, still nobody prayed other then 20 rakat.
-From the time of Umar Ra. 20 rakat have been prayed in Makkah Al Mukarram and Madina al Munawwara until year 2021. Now everybody shall choose if the want to follow the amount of Rakat established by Umar Ra. or the saudi najdi government.
-Other than 20 Rakat is a modern innovation/biddah that has spread through lies by the wahabis/khawarij and people who lack knowledge and Taqwa accept it because it is easier for the nafs. But everything other than 20 rakat is going against the Ijmah of the Ummah!

Do you claim that Taraweeh is proved from the Quran? Ask to your Sheikh if he is sure that it's proved from Quran. And Tahajjud is same as Taraweeh.
The thing is if Muhammad said those things he would be going against God and The God's message (the quran). So I highly doubt that he did say such things.
Believing something based on hearsay with no actual evidence is something a reasonable thinking man wouldn't do.

Can you be more specific than "said those things", said what things? and you don't need to say "God subhaana wa ta'ala" since God is not a name of Allah (swt).
