This helps a lot. I will admit, the app was mistakenly downloaded on my phone, but my friends convinced me to keep it and create a character for whenever I'm actually able to join them on a campaign.
Just found your channel and find your vids really helpful and, as new dm and player trying ro get the ball rolling to play dnd with my 12 yo lad, love how clear you make what you are discussing. I notice you haven't posted for awhile so hope you are doing OK.
Thanks! I know it's not quite as FUN as some others, but I get a lot of questions about this stuff so I figured a walk through isn't a bad thing to have out there!
@@annerichmond Unlike an entertaining video, an informative video does not need to be fun. In fact, the "fun" can distract from the information at times.
I've really wanted to get into DnD for the longest time but it's been really hard too especially with my social anxiety, I'll try my best to make a start though haha.
I know i can purchase individual subclasses, feats, spells etc. in TCoE and have them available for character creation without buying the whole book, but what about additional features you mentioned like new "fighting styles" (blessed warrior or blind fighting for Paladin) or "harness divine power" for paladin at level 3 and so on. Do i need to purchase a whole book in order to gain these, because i don't see such individual purchases?
You should be able to click the cog wheel on the character sheet to edit the character. If you go to your collection of characters, there should be an option to delete. It will make you confirm by typing "DELETE."
By far the best tutorial for D&D Beyond Character Creation on the platform.
Sending this to a new player at my table right now!
Aw thanks so much! I’m so glad it’s useful.

Ratty! Thank you so much. That means a lot. Had some real life stuff but I've got a new video out TODAY! These compliments mean the world.
I love this informative style of video. It has a lot of value.

Yeah it's definitely a careful balance, that's for sure!
Very cool. Thanks, Anne!
This has nothing to do with anything but you have a very smooth voice
Well thanks all the same! It's nice to be told that.
Great vid

I have some games that play online with cameras off and that might help you if you can find a group on Roll20 or in a discord community you frequent.

That's probably a question for D&D Beyond. I've never tried to purchase individual features.
Love.
I'm so glad!
What happens if you done the steps but it will not show the spells or race you have chosen
Have you gone to the spell section and selected spells? All your race features should be in features and traits.
What if I don't have a DM? I am a lone player that wants to get in.

How do I edit, and delete a character?
