    Not a good list, half of these songs don't deserve to be there. Fight The Power mught be a rap classic, but it cannot be the second best song ever, it's not better than A Day In The Life, Good Vibrations, Johnny B Goode, Purple Rain, Lola, etc. Hey Ya by Outkkast Number 10? No Way. There are hundreds of better songs that are not in this list.

    Rolling Stone makes a joke of themselves with this. Should have a disclaimer "For entertainment purposes only" No Eminem at all. How is Michael Jackson not in the top 10? No love for music made before 1975. Minimum love for The Beatles. No Eagles, CCR, Elvis, ect. This is a mess and I think they are just trying to get clicks, attention, and maybe a couple magazines sold. Since hardly anyone buys magazines or takes Rolling Stone serious anymore.

    I feel sorry for anyone who'd never heard a song in their life, and then decided to take this list seriously as a guide. It's a complete joke, politically driven to make a "statement". These are not the songs that the public has strongly embraced over the various decades.
    This is RS showing their strong personal bias for a very narrow musical demographic and declaring it "best of all time". This list couldn't be any more a departure from what the public considers "great" if they'd chosen 300 Gregorian chants for the "Top 500 songs of all time".

    I love music of all genres. Regardless, how is Bob Dylan in the top 10? I mean there is the Rolling Stones: Sympathy for the Devil and Gimme Shelter. Led Zeppelin's: Stairway to Heaven. John Lennon's: Imagine. Whitney Houston's: I Will Always Love You. Diana Ross and the Supremes: Pick a song. Prince: Little Red Corvette. Nirvana, good pick Rolling Stone. Elvis Presley's: Suspicious Minds. Santana's: Black Magic Woman. George Harrison's: Here Comes the Sun and My Sweet Lord. Feel free to add on. Come on Rolling Stone Magazine.

    • @andrewfurst5711
      @andrewfurst5711 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Bob Dylan is loved by RS much more than the public loves him. They can claim that this list was chosen by others, but RS chose the choosers and knew what they'd go for. The whole thing is a joke. It's one thing to be subjective, but another to be that far out of step with the public. When you look at actual song sales, this list barely intersects with that at all. The public has better taste in music than RS.
