- With the Premier League and Champions League seasons hurtling to their conclusions, it's time to look at every team participating in the 2018 World Cup and their respective players who have flopped in England's top-flight.

Dilly Ding Dilly Dong Only for few matches. Even as a winger he plays more defending than attacking, a liitle like Robby Brady.
Zhrikov was average wasn't his job to score goals bit consistency would been good and be able to defend would helped

Francisco Fuentes He was actually decent in his last season with us. And we're in the fight to go back up. 22 games unbeaten. Premier league here we come.
Both him and Ruiz were big stretches. It's easy to put them on this list when neither were superstars and both got relegated (they also clearly needed examples from those countries) but i'd definitely argue that both players at least lived up to expectations.
Victor Murp Ruiz was good for like his first season only. Dejagah was good in his last season.

I don't think Di Maria was a flop, most assists in the team, we finished 4th. It was more of the case everyone thought he was going to be there for a long time but like we saw was only a year. Wish he had of stayed longer but I think his relationship with Van Gaal was not the best and the robbery didn't help.
rgejsv Yeh I think if he had of stayed he would of really shown himself in the upcoming seasons, if his heart was in it at least. Most south American players don't tend to find their best form in their first season in England
Yeah he scored five and assisted 11 but he wasn't seen since January so that is a flop for the talent he has but he back to his best at PSG
Michael Christie I think Sánchez was the only guy that found form in England when with arsenal

Di Maria wasn't even that bad he was decent... LVG basically froze him out the squad when he had like 7 goals(I think) and 10+ assist(for sure). If he was given time he would have shone. Imagine this United if we still had him🤦🏾♂️. Still snaked us tho...

I'll agree Jones was a prem flop but I'd argue Davidson (who might go to Russia) was a bigger flop at least Jones did the occasional good thing for Liverpool. Also, Jones is in incredible form for Feyenoord. He won't start but he's not a terrible keeper like you made him out to be...
davidson won't be going to russia. i wouldnt say jones is necessarily a prem flop but of the aussies going to australia- that have played in the prem (which is not many) he'd be the worst

The thing About Australian soccer/football is that you have no hope in hell of becoming a professional player unless you run away to Europe and try to make your name in the lower divisions. There just isn't enough squad slots in the A-League because of the squad cap of 26 players and the fact that there are only 10 teams in the league.

That's cool. I am aware that Jason Davidson isn't Australia's best left back. I live in Australia and go for the Brisbane Roar. I was just trying to point out that there isn't a lot of opportunities to become a professional footballer here, and you find some Australian players in Asian, and lower league European teams.
Zhirkov, Dejagah and Khazri were all decent imo... Roman Pavlyachenko or Andrei Arshavin definitely worse

It's not that unlikely though: Belgium play 3 at the back, so they need 6 center backs in the team. In my opinion, it will be Alderweireld, Kompany, Vertonghen, Vermaelen, Dendoncker and Ciman. Most of them are injury prone, so if they get injured between now and the World Cup, Belgium will need to draft either Kabasele (from Watford) or Boyata. While I think Kabasele is the better of the 2, Boyata has more caps and received more call ups recently so I think he would get in in the event of an injury

Carlos Vela actually could have been amazing he doesn't even like football prefers money and said he loves basketball. Despite not putting full effort partying and refusing to go to the world cup he left Real Sociedad as a legend. Griezmann said he is the best player he has ever played with and many said he could have been better. Shame.
