There has been no good reason for the fuzz or army, guards etc to use horses throughout my long enough life. Only perhaps when searching for a missing person in fields or woods. Such cruelty is never criticised by animal welfare charities.
Royals have plenty enough land to give these wonderful creatures a good retirement, and not allow their use again. It isn't even as though the royals need guards on horseback to secure their safety these days. It's all for show. A show I have never wanted to see.
Well, the rest of us like the tradition, show and culture, makes us proud to be British. There's little of it left now, especially in London. Having family and friends who've served in The Horse Guards regiment, I can tell they are treated extremely well, better than the lads in some cases. This is an incredibly rare event and shouldn't be blown out of proportion. Also, horses are still one of the most effective crowd control methods.
@@CaratacusAD They are still WILD ANIMALS, and always have been. Do not ever forget that, everyone. Every single animal, no matter how domesticated you think it is, including dogs and cats, are wild. That is their nature.

They are army horses that got spooked while on training and bolted.
It is bleeding because it smashed into a stationary vehicle while bolting.

What I have just seen disgusts me horses should never have been used in wars and to still use them in childish parades is from what I have just seen cruel.

Got spooked by construction near them. Not trained as much as King George's horses. These ponies haven't needed to know bombing sounds. Back in barracks, safe.

Horses don’t just run freely if they are not cared for and properly maintained in their stables.
They got cut by anti Israel protesters.
These are royal horses. They get the most luxurious life. They are loved and well treated. Six horses were scared by a loud noise and bolted. They were all located and those that had injuries treated by a vet.
i live in Slovenia , in UK how do people prepare horse for eating?
