What we do know is Victor is very high on this horse and he rode American Pharoah. However he did say Chrome had lost a lot of wighet and energy going into the Belmont stakes. While he said American Pharoah got better going into the Belmont Stakes.
The filly lost her eye due to an accident. Taylor Made gave her to a rescue. The rescue had to have a fund raiser to get her a blanket etc. No one knows what they did with the mother. Makes me sick.
@@vr9580 No, she had an accident and lost one eye. Last I heard Taylor Made sent her to a rescue. I remember the rescue was asking for donations. California Chrome made Taylor Made millions, but they couldn't afford to even send a blanket with this sweet baby of his. I know they were trying to get her adopted, but I haven't heard anything since. I hope this sweet baby has a good home. It's so depressing what happened to her.

There are other horses with one eye like un ojo which is probably running in the kentucky derby this year. Patch also a one eye horse participated in the 2017 kentucky derby.
