I ordered my Thai plantlet yesterday! I want to make sure I got the right mix - I have coco husk chips but not fine coco. Is Fine coco the same as coco peat? Or do I need coco coir? I'm determined to do as much as I can to make it thrive! :)

Hi! No they are not the same unfortunately. If you only have chips & perlite; I would do like 10% soil just so it holds a bit more moisture but not much!

Thank you so much for the quick response@@orangelakenursery7491 !! Is there a specific name for Fine Coco? I'm having a hard time tracking it down.

Would it be ok to go straight from tissue culture to pon? And continue to follow the remaining acclimation steps?

To be honest, the only medium we use because of the success rates is a coco husk & perlite mix. We also do such large quantities that pon wouldn't be feasible. I am sure it would be fine but we just don't have the experience with acclimating in pon to give an honest opinion!
