Love it! What a unique sound kind of halfway between a fluegelhorn and a trumpet! It is beautiful and in the hands of a master like Steve Dillard, it comes to life with a flourish! Thank you, Steve, for introducing me to this spectacular instrument!

Beautiful tone on this horn. Very nice playing as well. Art Farmer let me hold his flumpet many years ago when he played here. His was more ornate. Intricate figures cut into the metal with seated gems. He was a very nice man and I felt honored to meet him. May he rest in peace.

what beautiful sound. I got to visit Mr. Monette in Portland back in 2009 and I think I saw one of the horns bound for Mr. Marsalis' hands. Thing of beauty. But then what I heard that day on other horns just made me love Monette's works. His mouthpieces are works of art as well.

I’ve listened to millions of great trumpet /flugelhorn/flumpet (Art Farmer) Chet Baker Jack Sheldon to C.T. Also less known players like Kevin Dean,Don Fagerquist, Enrico Rava Guido Basso and lots of your TH-cam videos . The sound you get out of the Flumpet is probably the best sounds to come out of a brass instrument. When are you going to make a CD ???You should get a flumpet in your arsenal

"The Shadow of Your Smile", also known as "Love Theme from The Sandpiper", is a popular song. The music was written by Johnny Mandel with the lyrics written by Paul Francis Webster.[1] The song was introduced in the 1965 film The Sandpiper,[1] with a trumpet solo by Jack Sheldon and later became a minor hit for Tony Bennett (Johnny Mandel arranged and conducted his version as well). Disagree with just about every statement comparing the Flumpet to a flugelhorn. Nice horn, but doesn't sound like a flugelhorn and therefore does not replace it, and doesn't sound as good. It does not make an OK player great. It is easy to play, but does not fit the bill. IMHO.
