I have an S2000 in the same color. It was never a dream car of mine and was always a 3rd or 2nd runner. For my first car in the early 2000's when the S2000 first came out, I test drove one, but passed on it for an FD RX-7 mainly because it was too new so too expensive and I wanted a turbo car. Then in 2003, I test drove another S2000. But passed on it again and picked up an Evo VIII instead. Now almost 20 years later I decided to finally pick one up AFTER I have already acquired my dream car from the 90's - a Skyline R33 GTR. But let me tell you, I absolutely LOVE my S2000 and enjoy driving it even more than the GTR now. The previous owner built it for the circuit with roll cage, titanium exhaust, ohlin suspension, intake, quick release wheel, racing seat, and more. It's just so fun to drive, sounds amazing, and handles like a go kart. I think with some light mods, it really opens up the car and makes it nearly perfect. Not saying it's not fun stock, but man is it fun modified and does not need to have a lot of power. It's now my favorite JDM car ever and the most fun car I have ever driven. I guess I never really gave it a chance nearly 20 years ago. Also, lived in Japan for a decade, owned a Soarer turbo and driven many JDM sports car there. So this says a lot about the car.
Man that's so crazy. The FD RX-7 and the R33 are def cars I'd love to drive or even own one day and to hear that the S2000 is still blast to drive after owning the two is mind blowing
The driving experience must be night and day in comparison with your IS250 lol congratulations on the ride, sweet purchase, mods for the S2000 is endless
My cousin owns an S2000 too. It’s his second car. Main car is BMW 3 series. He likes owning two cars as it means he doesn’t put so many miles on just one car. I have a second car too but it’s boring. 2018 Toyota Corolla, and main love is my Lexus IS250.
Sweet S2000! You will probably love the transmission, Honda makes some of the best manuals. It's nice to have full control and feel when driving a bit spirited. The manual gearbox IS250's are certainly not good as a first daily driver, good thing you start out with a Honda. And having the IS as a luxury auto cruiser. I've got a manual IS250, that gearbox sure takes some getting used to. I got a bad clutch however, which makes it even worse (lwfw swap soon). I have only ever had manual cars (7 total), and driven countless others. The IS250 may have the most challenging gearbox I have tried so far!

S2000 is always sexy. Not feminine looking like a miata (no offense to miata owners here, lol). Any factory/ mildly modded import is EASY to learn stick shift. I learned on a stock 98 prelude type-sh back in the day.. Pretty easy and smooth. My GF actually learned to drive stick on my extremely heavily modded Camaro with a McLeod RXT 1200 twin disc clutch. Because of that....she is awesome at driving almost any stick car. Lol.
