The Scholomance and Locked Tomb series were my favourite reads of the year. I also loved A Novel Love Story. Divine Rivals/Ruthless Vows and What the River Knows/What the Library Hides were also up there... ❤
Books For 2024: - Colm Tóibín 'Brooklyn" & its sequel "Long Island". - Silvia Moreno-Garcia 'The Beautiful Ones' - Kelley Armstrong 'Hemlock Island' -Nicole Scarano 'Autopsy of a Fairytale' Series (5th Book Comes Out Next Year) -Zara Storm 'The Gold Weaver' Trilogy
@stephaniedawson6805 Yes, I agree. The story is fantastical, paranormal or magical, romantic, historical & dramatic all in one. The cover is also artistic in its portraiture. This past year alone, I've given the book as a gift to a few people with the author's other novels, "God's of Jade and Shadow" and "Mexican Gothic;" with some of her fantastical short stories.
Since you love PEI (Prince Edward Island), I love the Anne of Green Gables series, which is also set there. I know it’s old, and more a youth read, but it’s just so cozy and comforting (and are quick reads). Rilla of Ingleside is my favorite from the series. I enjoy seeing Anne grow up and have her own family, and it’s set during WWI. 🎄📚
Your vlog is the perfect tonic as I try to get over my illness in time for Christmas. Tysm for your book reviews 📚📖and I do so love seeing all the kitties enjoy their Meowbox treats🥹🫶🏻🐈⬛🐈😻
Love the meowbox, the furbabies cute as always ❤️❤️❤️ I read a book in HS called a thousand splendid Suns and that book made me cry like 2-3 times. Also a child called it made me cry. I should definitely get back I to reading. A few books you mentioned did caught my attention 👀👀👀🐱🐱🐱📖📖📚
I adored Daydream it was cute. And the dreamland series my goodness. I was more focused on reading the book then focusing on vacay in Hawaii this summer
a little life was my favourite read of the year, actually my #1 favourite book of all time. 6 stars. i know its not for everyone but i was happy to see it on your list. i cant wait to get into SJM for 2025!
A Little Life was one of the worst and best books I’ve ever read. I couldn’t stop reading and was also sobbing at many points. My family was looking at me like I was crazy.
Lisa jewell is one of my favorites! None of this is true was really good. I also read addie LaRue this year and regret waiting so long, i absolutely loved it
Ahh I love a meowbox moment. Which of the cats are the eldest? Of the books I've read this year, my favorites were Holly Black's "Cruel Prince" (first YA in a long time that I've enjoyed)
(cont.) The Go-Betweens, and We Sold Our Souls by Grady Hendrix. It actually made me interested in metal for the first time. I also want to suggest the Kushiel series. The wildest read of the year by far was "Lapnova".
I also read the Throne of Glass series this year, LOVED IT! I did not like Butcher and Blackbird, the male character just seemed so fake/contrived. I did like Leather and Lark though!
Here for the cat & book content! 😍🐈🐈⬛📚
🥰🥰
Hoping you and your family have a merry Christmas! 📖 😺
same to you!!🫶🏻

A Little Life was one of the worst and best books I’ve ever read. I couldn’t stop reading and was also sobbing at many points. My family was looking at me like I was crazy.
That's what got me to read the book in the first place. It was a great book, exactly what I wanted, however I also spent days crying over it.
That’s exactlyyyy how I’d describe it!
Lisa jewell is one of my favorites! None of this is true was really good. I also read addie LaRue this year and regret waiting so long, i absolutely loved it

@katyp564 I agree, Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel Books & all its spin-off books are good & classic; it's definitely worth the investment of time.
Absol & Kanade are both 10!
& I’ve heard great things about cruel prince!
I also read the Throne of Glass series this year, LOVED IT!
I did not like Butcher and Blackbird, the male character just seemed so fake/contrived.
I did like Leather and Lark though!
reading throne of glass was one of the best parts of the year🥹

Have you read the Assistant to the Villain trilogy by Hannah Nicole Maehrer?
I haven’t yet but I want to!
@@battybeanvlogs it's good, I think you will like it. The first book gives me Undertaking of Hart and Mercy universe vibes 😊
