Her beret is shocking, christ

I remember it well although my training back in 1988 was at RAF Swinderby. I'm sure there's been a few changes but most will be the same. Loved my time in the Air Force. It really was the making of me. I recall the gas chamber, military field training, SLR training etc. Biggest challenge was lack of sleep. 😀
Changed a bit from 1953
I was 15! passed out & did 25 years!
Im starting next month at 17 I’m so excited
@@alfredclifton4617hows it going i start in 3 days
16 then 33
6 o'clock, is nothing, try 4:30am, and then parade at 05:15am🇬🇧☺👍
I was there in 1970 as an Apprentice, Two years, then we used to have to bull the room floor until you could see your face in it, every Saturday,
Joined at 16 in 1976 , best thing I ever did . Seriously cushty now from what I see . You had to be a bit tougher years ago .
@Graffiti731 in fairness you did 10 days not 9 weeks, so you cant comment on what its like after 10 days. I dont think anyone going in expects it to be easy but if you want it you will do it!
@Haydinho21 Gas is alright, itll sting and it isnt the nicest feeling but it last a few minutes and it wont hurt you dont worry and laugh it up!
i find it interesting how everyone is ost worried about the CS gas, my step-dad went through it along while ago, and he says its really nothing to worry about, its really not that bad, but until i go through it myself soon, ill stay skeptical lol
I swear the girl is now doing the Recruit's PSF...
@rustyjames761 um in australia the maximum age is 53 for the defence force so i would assume being a commonwealth country that its the same
@Graffiti731 Well, that's what the first few days are for. To weed out the unsuitable recruits. At no point in my training or my career was I ever in a position where I couldn't contact my family or friends. It's a good career choice if you can hack it. If you can't, go elsewhere. Seemples.
How's he Scottish?
danspare He was probably born in scotland
see ya in iraq
nope, do some research bro
i am 25 is it too late for the raf.
Tim Hogan no
You’re at least 31 now, it’s still not too late haha
The life of Dan I wonder if he joined haha

Don’t be stupid.
God i remeber being there 14 years ago, one of the messes was closed due to a cockroach infestation. Best decision i ever made still love life in the RAF. Oh and the CS gas chamber it sucks i wont lie to you its not comfortable but it proves the gear your issued works. besides the effects of cs gas only last a minute or two and then its over, its the one and only time in 15 years i have been forced to deliberatly breath in cs gas.
A lot more civilized than Swinderby which was like a prison punishment camp.
Richard Roberts
Agreed Richard - I was there in 1978 !
Swinditz was hard work but worthwhile. April / May 75.
Nice to see they where still making bed packs in 2010, shame it's all duvets and snowflake partys now.
This video is a joke!!!haha Halton was a piece of piss. People who find it hard aren't cut out for the military in my opinion. Not seeing or speaker to family members for a couple of week while you shout left, right, left not exactly a hardship is it? think of lads who are in FOBS for 4 months!
Totally disgusting, firstly do they not know that the badge is supposed to be over your left eye, not in the middle of your head, or towards your ear? Secondly, the recruits are inside of a building sitting down, when I was in, you removed your beret before you entered the building. What the hell is going on? These kids would have never made it in the 90's.
Shut up you melt
Nor indeed the 70's !
I've seen cadets with better berets
