Thank you. Here is some feedback. I watched 10 review videos before finding yours (because I tried to watch the most recent ones first) and it was the only useful one. Useful and educational information, judgement are backed-up with facts, clear accent for non-native english speakers among your viewers, no overuse of distracting visual effect and music, a few discreet jokes to make it fun but still stay focus on the topic, judgement on the product only and not the viewer. The biggest added value is that your pro and cons for each of the options are not obvious, they are not something I could have guessed just by reading the product description. Also, calling the BS about some claimed benefit (heat sink) was not obvious to me, I learned something. Finally, there is no unpleasant judgement on the viewer, like I sometimes hear some youtubers saying "it's stupid to spend so much money for that" ( = "if you have considered buying this, you are stupid) or "it's silly to believe you can get something good for such a low price" (= if you did, you are stupid). It's just fact, and backed-up judgement on the products, not on your viewers. To summarise: you gave me what I was looking for and gave me a reason to check your reviews first before anyone else >> a reason to subscribe. Take care!

I've had a Rain Design mStand in daily use for ~9 years and it's been great. Only complaint is the top feet have yellowed - they're probably made from TPU which really doesn't like UV light. The feet on the unit in the video look different though, so maybe they've changed the material.

I own the mStand for about 8 years now (maybe even more.. that time, they did not have the 360°-version nor different colors) and I am really content with it! Especially the hole for the cables is quite useful! I used it on many locations and it's just perfectly stable.
I have the Rain Design non-adjustable/non swivel and love it. Its a sturdy stand with a clean design. The heatsink thing is stupid though. Whats the purpose of a portable laptop stand? You use a Laptop Stand if you're going to plug in a full sized keyboard and mouse, so unless you bring one of those to class why the heck do you need a collapsible stand? You don't.

The Rain stand does increase cooling due to it's angled position. As opposed to the smaller vertical ones out there where you put the macbook in closed and upright. There the warm air needs to be pushed down. (Doing it upside down, your ports are 'in the air'.) And as we all know, warm arm rises up, thus making the cooling process less optimised.
I use a cardboard box for my laptop.

Do what I did:
1. get on Amazon and buy the wrong wall mount for your 42-inch plasma screen.
2. Wait.
3. Once it arrives, Spend the next hour trying to figure out why the holes don't match up.
4. Take said mount and secure it to your desk.
5. Regret turns into reward.
I haven't seen this yet but I have a Roost and it's good for traveling but I think I want something that still allows me to get the MacBook Pro closer to my eyes. Which means I want my hands and keyboard to be able to sit under the laptop and with this you cannot do that. I think the ability to get the laptop closer to your eyes should be factor when evaluating these stands.

The Roost stand is also highly adjustable and I have no issues with the wobbling!
I have also tried the HiRise, but that cant lift the MBP screen to no where near as high as you would want it to be ergonomical. I also don't get what you are doning to make the stands wobble so much. That means that your whole desk must wobble quite a bit...

LOL, I made my own laptop riser out of a piece of salvaged 3/4" plywood and a couple of 2x6 boards. Custom designed so I can slide my keyboard underneath it when I need the desk space.
$12 for a gallon of wood glue (on special, really don't need that much for it), $6 for the 2x6, $8 for plywood (if you didn't have scrap).

I use the mStand 360 at work and it actually is useful. I swivel my 15" MPB around for quick review sessions with my coworkers on a weekly basis. I can also attest to its rigidity. I have no complaints.

My question: why not buy a "laptop stand" for your MacBook? Why it gotta specifically be a "MacBook Stand"?
Had an mStand for years, and used it on both my 15" Macbook Pro, as well as a 17" widescreen Sony. Great stand, not really portable but solid build.

the same way I have done it 90% of the time for the last year or so.
For just a slope, a piece of folded aluminum foil under the back part of the laptop works just fine.

I simply bought the AUKEY CP-R2 (such a Star-Wars-y name) for my MacBook Pro 15". It's worth 20 bucks and it's extremely comfortable and full of options. It includes FOUR (and I said FOUR) fans running through USB, with adjustable speed, and I assure you they did it! Another USB port for general purpose, such as charging your smartphone. And it is very light, easily hand-grabbable (they put cool handles in that) and the height is easily adjustable and you have a lot of options. It's easy to carry during travels, because you can just "close" it and it gets the dimensions of a MacBook Pro 17" closed (not so much). You have two feet, which keep your laptop stable. IMO, it could fit for ANY laptop. Take a look on Amazon!

One thing I feel compelled to mention is that for a tall person who needs their laptop raised ALOT the best choice would be the first stand. Just because it raises the laptop screen by almost a foot!
