Sound Guy here. The reason you need quiet grocery bags is because if your vocal take gets bag sound in it (which it will if your actor is using or touching the bag at all) us sound guys can't play and manipulate the audio from a clean starting point so it means we're ultimately stuck working with a layer of bag sound behind your vocal which overall will reduce the options and flexibility of the vocal. Getting clean vocal takes is especially troublesome with plastic bags because they crinkle right in the same eq range as most vocals so they mess up the take pretty badly. It also raises issues of phase alignment because if there are several actors microphones recording all at once, you would need to consider phase alignment because the bags would be recording into all microphones and if they were even a few hundredths of a second out of line due to latency, input or editing issues you'd have bad phasing issues all over the place (making the audio overall sound like shit). Super props to Megan lately for expanding the themed content of each episode and keeping things on track in a way. Not that I dont enjoy the chaos sometimes, but you can tell she cares about them and this podcast so much and it shows through the entertainment. Its appreciated!!
I love the idea of Mrs. Mac having always sprayed Mac in the face with vinegar to hurt him but he thinks it's to tan. Also I noticed early in the last podcast Glenn was telling a joke and Charlie did the hand circle thing he does in The Gang Gets Held Hostage to move it along faster. I guess he really does that sometimes.🤣
@@ananthropomorphictalkinggo6641 my mistake I forgot it was for bugs. As for a time-stamp for the hurry-it-up hand circle thing you can find it in the Red Nose Rob short of the podcast.
It’s kinda crazy how often Rob jumps in with “I wasn’t sure about doing X”, because this era of the show really feels like the gang was just going for it, with no regard for playing it safe. Hard to believe that any of the choices had to stand up to scrutiny, cuz they’re just so wild.
Guys, youre nailing it. My Google feed is filled with articles about this podcast. Just take a deep breath and keep at it. Love you guys. also want to toss out some guests > Guests should be few and far between but some actors are just...needed: - David Hornsby - Jimmy - Dee (in studio) - Danny ** Cant wait for the "Charlie Work" breakdown (omg its season 10/11 so it may be a while) but its a damn gem and IMO the most WELL SHOT episode. I would absolutely love to see an episode where Dennis gets angry, punches a wave, and curses Posiden, and Mac's mom sprays him with vinegar, even if they have already done an episode with a beach, pool, and water park.
The episode was epic because it pushed the boundaries of what you can make light of in some of the most severe circumstances. This is punk comedy at its finest. The reason i love the show so much is because it sees no premise is off limit.
"Maybe there's an apology that goes before the stabbing" had me 🤣 - delivered so sincerely! Lol. I also enjoyed this episode. I love Jimmi in your show, he is hilarious! The fork stabbed / milk always makes me lol.
I juat discovered this podcast and I'm loving it! I am compleled to point out the VFX editor wasn't saying slow motion can't be done; he was saying he can't make the scene slow motion with what was provided to him. Slow motion shots have to be planned beforehand and filmed in a high frame rate. Since the scene was filmed at a regular frame rate, the effect they wanted was impossible. It'd be like asking a VFX artist to put in a CGI background without having placed a green screen in the shot.
When Rob mentioned Wildwood (even though he was talking abt being jumped there) I literally smiled so wide because I am currently working there as a summer job. 😁

He's also apparently the fella who had the belly issues and ended up shitting himself just before an audition and wiping his ass with his own headshots. Legend.
The conversation at the end about “never leaving the safe zone” of sharing with family was very relatable and unexpectedly impactful. Don’t cut that
I do think the line "DAMN YOU, POSEIDON" becomes infinitely funnier when set in a wave pool
The gang go to a waterpark
This was the first episode I ever saw! I had no idea who the McPoyles were or anything. I absolutely loved the end when Liam just says "Later, bitches!".
It’s funny that Charlie said he didn’t think this episode was the best of that season. To me, it’s one of the top episodes of the series
I agree with Charlie.
Super props to Megan lately for expanding the themed content of each episode and keeping things on track in a way. Not that I dont enjoy the chaos sometimes, but you can tell she cares about them and this podcast so much and it shows through the entertainment.
Its appreciated!!
As a window tinter, it’s my life’s work to fight the sun 🤪
the champion we didnt know we needed
@keevin laurie wtf how old are you
Tint-Man Ahhh-AHHHH-Ahhhh, Champion of the Shade!
@@TheScottGillies Damn it, beat me to it...
What's the profit margin on window tinting?
Rob punching the ocean has "Old Man Yells At Cloud" Simpsons energy.
19 years. Holy fxckin shit!! The “Gang” has been a positive part of my life for a long time. Super grateful for you guys!! VERY BROWN!!!
It was to keep bugs away!
Time stamp
@@ananthropomorphictalkinggo6641 my mistake I forgot it was for bugs.
As for a time-stamp for the hurry-it-up hand circle thing you can find it in the Red Nose Rob short of the podcast.
It’s kinda crazy how often Rob jumps in with “I wasn’t sure about doing X”, because this era of the show really feels like the gang was just going for it, with no regard for playing it safe. Hard to believe that any of the choices had to stand up to scrutiny, cuz they’re just so wild.
Anything with the mcpoyles / rickety cricks will always be hilarious
Guys, youre nailing it. My Google feed is filled with articles about this podcast. Just take a deep breath and keep at it. Love you guys.
also want to toss out some guests > Guests should be few and far between but some actors are just...needed:
- David Hornsby
- Jimmy
- Dee (in studio)
- Danny
** Cant wait for the "Charlie Work" breakdown (omg its season 10/11 so it may be a while) but its a damn gem and IMO the most WELL SHOT episode. My boy Charlie shines and the direction is fudgin amazing!!
Definitely jimmy!!! And david hornsby.
They should drop the "The" from "The Always Sunny Podcast" and move the clips to a separate channel. Also a live streamed charity podcast would be great.
you dont want the waitress ?
Sorry for being an idiot, but who is Jimmy?
@@HawkSlam Jimmy Simpson aka “Liam Mcpoyle”
I love when they talk specifically about what they were thinking making specific decisions. That’s what I come for.
Glenn needs to do something more with his Australian accent. It's the greatest thing I've ever heard. I need to see him play an Aussie in something!
I love every word about the process of creating the show. I'm in the process of joining the Union in Atlanta as a Grip. With some ambition to shift to the creative side. I'd love to make a show that falls between Sunny, Community, and Atlanta.
Continue doing great things guys and Meg! Poseidon - Day Light Savings - Punching Waves -Dennis Reynolds’s?
i’m there!
also remember psycho pete returns? at the end charlie says you’re going to city of angels you can learn to surf…. possibly build on that?
Every single episode is amazing on always sunny. Whenever my family is trying to get out of an argument together we scream "im going in the crevice" and it stops lmfao
“Ryan Stab somebody!” Is one of my favorite sequences
Love the idea of a longer Q&A with the guys!
I haven't seen the episode in so long, I totally forgot about Charlie not wanting to die never having farted in Mac's face. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love this podcast so much.
I'm australian and listening to you all do an aussie accent is hilarious. love it
OK but the image of Mac's mom spraying him with vinegar to keep him away, and him thinking it's for horseflies, is fucking HILARIOUS
I would absolutely love to see an episode where Dennis gets angry, punches a wave, and curses Posiden, and Mac's mom sprays him with vinegar, even if they have already done an episode with a beach, pool, and water park.
Awesome getting to know these guys better through the Podcast. Glenn is a real interesting guy.
i feel the EXACT same way as Glenn does about the sun 😂
Oh man 😂 the gang attempting to negotiate a mugger and arguing over the best technique to do sounds like a friggin hillarious episode
This is one of my favorites. Charlie’s vision was just so sweet.
The episode was epic because it pushed the boundaries of what you can make light of in some of the most severe circumstances. This is punk comedy at its finest. The reason i love the show so much is because it sees no premise is off limit.
That's probably one of my favourite mc poyle episodes
Let's be real all of them are great but this one is outstanding
Glenn, you are not the least lovable!! You are my favorite, forever and always. 🫂🌠💖
This podcast has definitely made me appreciate him more. His personality is pretty similar to mine
@@angeladeaner7065 I relate to his personality too. 💙
I find it incredibly heartwarming to know that you guys are friends and make each other laugh all the time. It makes the show much more special.
