This same E10SS is my first Eastman and I’m an instant fan of the brand now. I’m planning on getting an E20 next soon can get that rosewood sound. Your demonstration was excellent and you make it sound better than I do. I also agree that people get too hung up on where guitars are made. At the end of the day it only matters if it is well made, sounds great and plays great. This guitar checks all of those and looks outstanding to boot. Mine has the more striped pick guard in which I love. I’m a fan of Asian guitars. I also own a few Yamaha’s. Both brands cannot be beat as far as bang for your buck. I’m not even tempted to pay for a boutique guitar because these fit my needs just fine. Thank you for your review!
Thanks for the kind words! Some stores do consider these to be boutique guitars, because they are handmade. Very hard to beat the quality. You'll have to let me know how you like the E20ss. I'm considering an E20D to go with my Martin D28. 🤠
@@TaylorSchlupp , I just bought an Eastman E20ss/v, the one with the antiqued varnish, and it is one amazing sounding guitar, warm, loud and smooth-playing. I own a boutique acoustic made by Kevin Caton and have owned other guitars built by Simon Fay and Kevin Ryan (see my profile photo here). I would put my Eastman in the same class as these other more expensive guitars, all fantastic instruments!
@@Muhlenburger sweet! I almost bought the SS/v when I was originally buying this. They look so cool and sound amazing. I'd still like to get one eventually. 😎
I Just bought the Eastman E20ss (Rosewood back and sides) .. what a beautifully made guitar. Your video review helped make my decision whilst researching.
Thanks! They are fantastic guitars. I bought an E6D (Martin D18 copy) a few months ago. Video on that next week. Then I'll release one comparing the two Eastman's. 🎸🎸
I don't need convincing because I've had an E6SS-TC from Eastman for a little while now, torrefied Spruce top,, solid Mahogany back and sides, Ebony board, bridge and pins, bone nut and saddle, exceptional quality and sound, I'm not hung up on where things are made.....we are in a global economy these days, if something is well made by actual craftsmen then that's what it is, Eastman Strings and Musical equipment is a long standing company that has been supplying the orchestral industry for many years, mine sounds near identical to yours except mine is a little warmer as it doesn't have Adirondack, it sounds better than any J35, J45 or 50 etc that I've tried in person, that's why I bought it 😅.
Very nice guitar 🎸, excellent playing, love mahogany guitars, just bought this model today, can't wait till I get it, Eastman builds some excellent guitars, also have a E20 D Adirondack TC, one of the best sounding guitars I own, thanks for sharing this beautiful guitar.
I‘ve been playing a Martin D-41 for many years. Nice guitar but I was never fully convinced of the Sitka spruce top / rosewood back and sides combination. Most people love it though. Now I heard you play this Adirondack top / Mahogany back and sides Eastman guitar. It blew me away. What a killer sound! Fantastic. Over and above the fantastic sound it offers a ton of eye-candy. Soooo beautiful. Thank you for your video. It is a pity that Eastman do not offer the E10-Slope Shoulder with Thermo-cured Adirondack spruce top. That would probably be my dream guitar.
Incredible guitars. Thanks for the kind words. They make what you're looking for, but they're hard to find. reverb.com/item/49044315-eastman-e10ss-tc-tfoa-ltd-adirondack-natural?
@@TaylorSchlupp Thanks for your reply. I’m looking at one. Also the e6ss or the varnish one. At this price point the Taylor AD17 is also an option. I can’t really decide 😂
@aapddd I've never played a Taylor that I was crazy about but I've had 3l2 Eastmans and they were both great. I still have the 10ss. It's not going anywhere. Amazing quality for the money.
They are good guitars.... still made in China though... thats a no go for me. Nobody ever talks about the resale value of these instruments, which is not very good at all.

I have an earlier E10ss with a rosewood fingerboard. It is the lightest dread I've ever played. Just wondering how the weight of yours is
Weight is slightly more than my d28. Wouldn't call it heavy though
@@TaylorSchlupp ... Mine feels like it's filled with helium
Very nice guitar for sure. Have you played the Blueridge counterpart, also Chinese made?
I had a Blueridge. Sold it to buy my D28. Not a bad guitar
Sounds absolutely awesome. How is the playability?
Oh it's outstanding. They're really making great guitars. I like it much better than the current J45s

Hey friend what strings do you have on yours; such a nice sound
Elixir Nanoweb 80/20 11-52
Thanks!
Do you have a video comparing it with the d28? If not, you should make one!
Was actually planning on shooting that next week 🤘🏻

They're handmade. Not mass produced like Squier.
