such a warm and cosy autumnal colour palette throughout 🍁 you have such beautiful handwriting and your annotations of the fellowship of the ring are so satisfying! I've also been really wanting to read Anna Karenina, as I want to start getting into Russian literature. the psychology books you picked up also look really interesting.
thank you for another beautiful vlog ☺🤍
Thank you so much! 🧡 I think, it takes a while to get into Russian literature, but then it‘s quite rewarding (that was at least what I heard over and over again 😇) Wish you a wonderful new week! 🌸
Thank you for the video. 🤎
Thank you for watching! 🧡
This is becoming one of my favorite YT channels of all, it's being a cozy and comfort place to me when I'm feeling anxious. I love the improved content, the illustrations, the views and the books…I have so many questions about how you read the same book in two languages, how did you improved your English and can read and write so beautifully (it seems a silly question but I’m trying so hard but it’s always difficult to me, I don’t know if I should translate the words that I don’t know and it’s make the reading slow) , how long do you read every day, what's in your weekly planning, how do your process every new story in your mind, do you write in German or in English? Do you think about having your own book club? How can you manage and balance work, reading, writing, relationships and hikes… Sorryyyyyyy, it’s so many questions because I love talk and know people from different cultures and places.
Thank you so much for your kind feedback!! 🥹🧡
I try to answer (hopefully) all of your questions! 🤗🌸
With my English it’s funny, I‘ve been quite good in understanding it since school, writing was second best, and talking was (and still is) the most difficult for me!
I try to practice my English with reading English books, watching English movies or series, and TH-cam channels and I also practice with ChatGPT - the funny thing is: if I tell ChatGPT „Please translate this German text to English“, it does exactly that. But if I tell it „Translate this German text to English how a Native Speaker would say it“, then it translates it differently in almost 100% of the time and it sounds so much better! That’s how I try to practice a more „natural“ English 🤗
What I also love to do is listening to the English audiobook while I’m reading an English book.
My novel I‘m writing in German, since it is my first language. 📖
How I do my planning, mhh, I think I could talk a bit about that in my next vlog? 🤗
And to manage work, TH-cam, writing, relationship, hobbies, reading… is a constant balance act to be honest! 😅 it definitely helps that I don’t have children or other family members I have to take care of, and I only work part-time, which also gives me much time for all other projects! I think that’s a very privileged position I‘m currently in and I‘m very grateful for this phase in my life! 🙏🏽💕
I‘m also an early bird and wake up between 4 and 5 am, so a lot of reading, writing, planning is done before the day „officially“ starts 😅
I try to read every day, even when it’s only a few pages.
Hope I could give you some answers, I‘ll talk a bit more about those topics in the next vlog 🤗
Have a cozy weekend!! 🧡🌳🌸
@ I loved the tip about chatGPT…thank you so much for share all of this. I wish your all the blessings. I’ll see you in your next vlog for sure. Have an amazing weekend 😘
You are a wonderful person, you bring serenity and your contents give a lot of peace and tranquility. I love how you write down in books and I think I'll take some advice on how you divide up your weekly planner. Furthermore, you live in a beautiful place where taking a walk in nature becomes a unique experience. Unfortunately I live in a small town in the south of Italy and to take a walk so immersed in nature I would have to move towards the mountain areas and it takes a long time. I also hope to live in such a beautiful place one day. I'm really happy to follow you, I'm also subscribed to the other channel, even though I don't know German😂. thank you for what you do❤❤
Thank you so so much for your kind words… 🥹🧡 That means a lot!
I am very grateful to live in such a beautiful area now, I used to live in Vienna my whole life before, the biggest city of Austria, and I always missed being in nature on a daily basis. I‘m living on the countryside for almost a year now and I can not imagine to ever move back to the city! 🤗🙏🏽
Hope you‘ll be able to live in the area of your dreams too one day! 🌸
Ti auguro un bel fine settimana rilassante! 🥰📚🌳
According to Tolkien himself, Sam is the chief hero of the story despite not being the main protagonist. In my reading experience he is the only author I have come across in any genre to do that. Usually in any fiction media the protagonist is the hero (if there is one), whereas Tolkien shifted that in the LOTR series. It's by far my favorite thing that truly sets him apart.
Oh really? I didn‘t know that!! 😍 Thank you for telling me, that’s so interesting and indeed a very unique thing for an author to do! 🤗📚 Have a nice & cozy weekend!
ohh how i love this vlog with all the autumnal vibes 🍂
it makes me so so happy that you loved the hobbit and the fellowship of the ring and also the trilogy ! i was also disappointed with the hobbit movies and the rings of power ... nothing can compare the the OG imo 😍
i get anxiety when i think about that as well, the time passing by so fast i feel like i'm wasting my life away 🫠 we really have to make the best of every moment 🤎
Thank you so much, Celine! 🥰
I love LOTR so so much, such a dense and epic story with fantastic world-building! 🥹
And yes to making the best of every moment. 💕
Have a cozy Sunday!! 😘
Question about your annotating, do you read the book and add the tabs and than write and highlight?
It depends! If I have time (and can read at a table) I tab and annotate as I read. But when I‘m reading while traveling, or while sitting somewhere where I can not write and highlight comfortably, I just tab the passage and annotate later 🤗📚
7:25 chunky...not junky😊
😂🫣 oops… you‘re totally right! 🧡
