Seriously, Blake. "HIS LITTLE PLAYOFF RUN" with out him coming out and sacrificing himself once again we Don't win the World Series. We all have our own options, but your distaste with Walker since last off season is mind-blowing. Walker has proven himself that he belongs on this team.
By and large I really like Blake’s takes… but I couldn’t agree more with you Brandy. I had to remind them last year during the summertime that Walker was a top 5 pitcher before going down… you don’t bet against guys like Buetane….ESPECIALLY after his post season performance
Agree. Jeter noted in NLCS series how Walker appears to find his mix of pitches not relying solely on fastball even ask young pitchers to observe Jose Mota also shed more lights on Walker is finding his new weapon, I trust their observation. What Walker gave the Dodgers wasn’t a lightning in a bottle that’s disrespecting his work
Yup Buehler and Trienen and Kike and Teo are must keeps. Especially for how Trienen Buehler sacrificed for us
I found out I listened to this podcast for more than 2,500 minutes in 2024.
Blake & Scott stand on business every show, love it 👏🏽
Go Dodgers
Probably a hot take but why is there constant assumptions that kershaw is in the starting rotation next season? Hes the goat I get it but he is old, injured and when he pitched this past season he was awful. He is also terrible as a starter in the post season. Why don’t they move him to the pen and have him throw middle relief for his last contract period?
Max Fried has only had one arm injury outside TJ. His major problem is blisters. He will be 31 going into next season. Blake Snell will be 32 for next season.
Yamamoto Ohtani Glasnow Burnes Sasaki Buehler Kershaw May Gonsolin Knack Frasso will be the 2025 rotation options
walker is a good option here, plus he’s been good for the dodgers, and fried is better that snell
I hope the dodgers sign Blake Snell & Max Fried !
Aside from age, how’s is Soto worth more than Judge when Yankees (public info) adjust their game to center around Soto and Judge still won MVP Witt Jr was second? I don’t want Dodgers have to center our game around him when he’s not Shohei, Mookie nor Freeman. Even Jose Mota highlighted how important a player needs to buy in Dodgers culture which was the core the led them to WS, fans should go check out his interview it was insightful
Thank God Blake isn’t the GM! 🙏
100%
i will always be wary of guys whose opinions almost always contradict what players themselves say.
Blake you want the lefty for balance.
@Bigtime1972 I could have sworn that the 2024 Dodgers won the World Series with all right, handed starting pitchers. Why is everybody so hung up on the left-handed pitcher? I get it but it's not the end all be all.
@@SimplyBrandy23 Because teams like the Padres rest Arraez and Jackson Merrill when facing left handed starters. They did that against Framber Valdez of Houston, Sean Manaea of NYM, etc.. Not having to face those two contact hitters makes it easier to navigate their lineup. Not all teams are built like the Dodgers with quality platoon players.
@@CactusTraveler makes sense didn't think of that
Wow but Blake won’t drive to give me my Shohei bobble 🤧
Assuming Kershaw makes a lengthy rotation spot is a fallacy. Love the guy but he was hit hard all season. Plus he’s falling apart. He’ll eat innings for a spell but that might be it. Hope he proves me wrong though.
Instead of 6 man rotation, what about starting tandems? One guy goes 5 innings, another goes 4. For example, Glasnow + May, Yamamoto + Gonsolin, etc.
@@daggerthree So May and Gonsolin are probably throwing more than one 2 innings per start in your scenario? Then they probably won't be available to throw as much per week as regular bullpen guys like Banda.
@ I was thinking the “second starter” guy throws 4 innings and gets extended rest like 3 days. They’re basically functioning like high end long relief guys.
3 starters. One pitcher from Snell/Fried/Burnes group, resign Buehler and Manaea if Fried and Snell are gone.
Are you really sure paying Manaea that kind of money compared to other top-tier aces? He just turned down the Mets' $20M+ qualifying offer. Let's not forget, he's the same guy Dodgers hammered every time he was with the Padres - just look at how he got rocked in NLCS Game 6
@jf7910 Yes to Manaea if short term deal. With his new delivery, he got rocked against the Dodgers ONLY. We're not asking him to be the ACE, just pitch good enough to have ERA around 3.50-4.00.
@jf7910 Don't know how effective guys like Glasnow, Gonsolin, Miller and even Ohtani will be next year so better to have as many durable pitchers as possible.
@@CactusTraveler Don’t buy into the hype of a one-hit wonder like Manaea. The Dodgers are too savvy to commit $25M AAV, even on a short deal, to someone who isn’t in the same tier as pitchers like Fried, Snell, or Burnes. Sure, he change with his delivery this year, but a guy who tops out at 92-93 mph with his fastball isn't exactly a frontline arm. I’d much rather invest $30M in a proven ace like Burnes, Fried, or Snell, than settle for $20M or even $15M on someone like Manaea
@@jf7910 that's what I said
Get one SP from Snell/Fried/Burnes group, resign Buehler and Manaea if they miss out on Snell or Fried
I'm down with Jack Flaherty returning but I also want Buehler too.
I like my porridge just right!
