Sonia lived with Dot and Jim when she was a teenager. Dot helped Sonia with getting Rebecca back and Sonia and Jim helped Dot when she had a breakdown over losing her Grandson Ashley so no I agree Sonia is more of a Granddaughter to Dot than Dotty. What I found odd was that she has been living with her grandson Charlie Cotton for two years - he cared for her in her last few years - and he got nothing? Perhaps he owns a nice big house in Ireland so doesn't need the house - but given its a London house and worth over £1m I thought maybe Dot might have shared it out a bit more amongst her relatives. Giving one 'grandkid' over £1m in assets but the others only £10k or even £1k is a bit of a large gap?
Definitely I lived in a housing association victorian terrace. Terrible disrepair issues (rotting wood, bad plumbing, might collapse with the size of the crack going down the middle) but every other hour in the street privately owned was worth 2mil
