I was FINALLY able to buy this table after decades of wanting it. I really appreciate what you’ve done here, explaining the ruleset better than I’ve seen and especially removing the glass for optimal optics. There’s SO MUCH awesome stuff available to customize/upgrade this table, and the first thing I’m doing is installing all the protector pieces-I can’t count how hashed these tables are out in the wild. Also having the chrome, legs, & coin box powder-coated yella! 👌🤓
Awesome review! Great job! I played this pinball machine a few years ago, and I had no idea you had to complete missions, and open the garage door, and get the ball behind the tv! Thanks dude, next time I play The Simpsons Pinball Party, I'll understand HOW to play!
This is one of my favorite pins. I finally was able to get one a few years ago. Had to carry it down some stairs(worth it). Always a fun machine to play
I was the same way as you bro. I didn't understand any of the Pinballs. Now I'm hooked lol. I use a Virtual Pinball and I am planning on making my own TV Mount Cabinet Machine lol. I've stopped playing other games and I'm enjoying Pinball!!
I just want to say I used to watch your pinball videos all the time on TH-cam I haven’t watched one in 2 years and now I’m revisiting this in fact these videos made up my childhood thank you so much for everything
This is my favorite pinball game / machine + i love Stern pinball Machines so this is the best machine they made! I love the Simpsons so this is a GREAT collectible for any Simpsons Fans (Like me) I Actually have this game in my house, it costed me 500,000 for me to buy, but i worked hard and saved up Money to buy this game! Now its in my gaming room in my basement, so this is a dream that came true! Im SO happy i saved up Money to buy this Game from the internet! (Want one? then they are Selling many an eBay, keep in mind that Pinball Machines cost ALOT of Money & take good care of your pinball Machines, espeacilly Used ones. But, i recommend it just like he said for Pinball & Simpsons fans! (Ay' Caramba that was a long comment!)
I have to say that the goal is not, in fact, to beat Alien Invasion. There are FIVE, yes, FIVE, more modes that you need to beat: Getting all ten 2X multipliers from Otto, all four itchy and scratchy multiballs, all six hurry-ups, all daredevil modes, and 5 super jackpots from the couch multiball. And then these just light the big modes(with the exception of the 5 jackpots); they must then all be beaten in order to access the true "Super Duper Mega Extreme Wizard Mode."
@YoScooby Yes there is a volume control. I own this game and absolutely love it! The problem I have encountered with pinball is this. Even if you have the volume all the way down, they still make a lot of noise that seems to penetrate through walls and ceilings. It is the firing of the coils that does it. -Doug
It's one of the less expensive DMD games out there. So, yes! It can be had for much less than most if not all games from the same era! It's a terrific game for the money.
Awesome pin (nice LED's), awesome gameroom, and awesome review! TSPP is a must have in a home game room environment, because of the crazy deep rules. Love the vids, John. Keep up the good work.
I just got this game, it's OUTSTANDING, so much going on and so many features. Anyone can play this, from newbie to advanced. I have several games but this one is definitely the most fun and new stuff keeps turning-up all the time. The only thing it's missing is some kind of magnetic feature but otherwise everything else is there. The upper playfield is fun & challenging and beyond that they've taken so many features and put it into this game...if you can get one, but it..you won't regret...in fact the only problem is that it makes other games boring.
@brettv8 Yes it is because the circuity on the machine either wasn't originally designed for LEDs or the designers of the circuit board got lazy and make the LED flicker to simulate dimming rather then actually lowering the voltage. When an LED has constant current going into it they are solid on, and stable, its when then electricity decides to flicker at like 50 hertz or something it will drive me crazy. Incandescent lights cant flicker like that because they cant go off and on that fast.
The first time I saw a pinball machine was at Centre Parcs: Elveden Forest and it was "Addams Family". I'm going to Sherwood Forest next week for 5 days I'll see what pinball machine I'll find. Loving the pinball of The Simpsons here.
I first spotted this at a Chuck E. Cheese's in Michigan in around 2006 or 2007. It'll probably be the one I'll get if I can save up for my own pinball machine.
Question on pin ball machines in general: Is there a volume control on these games? I live in Southern California, beach community. Neighbors are close and I worry about the noise. I had an old Williams "Magic City" mechanical machine that I had to get rid of, too noisy. I'm ready to pull the pin and buy "Simpsons Pinball Party", noise is an issue though. Thanks
Like a moth to a flame, I was near to fall in the 'Alien Invasion' segment on this game and would love to see an example of that game mode after hitting the Nuclear Power Plant bumpers constantly. Superb review.
I found a Family Guy pin by the same company that made this game at the Reboot Arcade Bar in Downtown Winston. It's got a pretty neat mini-pinball mode called "Stewie Pinball" where the playfield is at the top and is shrunken down. I also found a Stargate, Operation Thunder, Street Fighter II (both pinball and World Warrior machines), Super Mario Bros, Jurrasic Park (sadly it was not on when I went to the place), Metallica (this was not on either), Star Wars (Stern), and Alice Cooper. I'm actually a big Gottlieb and Stern fan, so it's awesome to see this. But it's weird since Stern made both this and the Family Guy pin. Those two shows are inferior to each other.
Hey Dude, thanks for the response. I got the funds together and bought a Simpsons pin. Been watching the TH-cam reviews and reading up. Lot of positive feedback, can't wait to get mine. I really like the way you can do a system check, volume control, I saw it displayed at the end of this clip, really it was the selling point. I'm going to place the back of the machine to a inner wall, hope it absorbs some sound.
I sold this pin because at the time I had three pins with the same exact playfield layout. I sold this one of the three cause it got me the most money to put towards my next pin. I do miss the pin, it's a good one. Like anything, though, eventually you might get bored with it.
Whirlwind was the game that got me interested in pinball too. I wish I could afford to buy real arcade and pinball games. Also, thank you for the explanation of the Daredevil modes. I never was real clear on how that worked.
hey John, I saw a photostream of yours on flickr.com, and i noticed that one pic had newer arcade games, such as Cruis'n World, House of the Dead, etc. Did you once own games like that at your old house?
Cool Video! Suggestion: you removed the glass top right? why not just simply pick the ball up and place it where you want in order to show your viewers what the different parts of the table do? Just sayin...
Hour and a half to finish it! that's pretty good! The Simpsons pinball party is a great machine, my favorite one is the Scooby - Doo where are you pinball machine by spooky!
Have you ever been to the pinball hall of fame in vegas? They go kinda crazy with LED mods, they even put white LEDs on pinball machines from the 1940s which looks kind of odd because the color is wrong. If they made LEDs with a more warm tungsten color it would be better. I understand that it means they dont have to change bulbs as much. My main issue with LEDs in pinball machines is that on modern machines, when a bulb is supposed to dim, on an LED it flickers like crazy, whats your opinion?
I have a question: Does every machine of this game a Ball saved feature? or do u need to change that in the service menu or.... cause my Ball saved feature does not work, so i really need help with this!
I have a change to get a TSPP, and may do it, but I am concerned that it seems really complicated, especially for people not experienced at playing pinball. There is an awful lot going on in this game for sure!
@lander77477 LED lights are really disorientating, I spoke to one guy he was nearly physically sick on a machine due to the use of LED's. Maybe something due to the hertz?
Love the pin, have had it a couple months now. Every now and then, I push the start button, takes a minute to kick on. Doesn't do it all the time, am thinking, one of those things, all the bells and whistles and electronics. Anybody else have a delay reaction, sometimes, on the start button?
it would be cool if you could do walkthroughs for pinball tables, the twilight zone would be good, albiet hard one, to do. my fav table is Arabian Nights at the moment, but then i still have a lot of tables to try, tho i'll admit im only really playing them virtually with a game called 'the pinball arcade' which feature 3d replicas of real tables using the kickstarter program to aquire the table licenses, theyre working on getting theT2 & Addams family, hopefully with easter eggs intact.
I was FINALLY able to buy this table after decades of wanting it. I really appreciate what you’ve done here, explaining the ruleset better than I’ve seen and especially removing the glass for optimal optics.

im kinda new to pinball and im all ready hooked to it and im a big simpsons fan so this table is basicly heaven for me
I love pinball

the TMNT pinball machine also has the original TMNT action figures nailed on the play field!
This was my very first John's Arcade video I've ever watched
@YoScooby

cheapest i could find was
Simpsons Pinball Party Machine
$5,999.00 for Refurbished Unit................WOW
Joseph Atnip too much! I can do a trip around Eruope for that price
Now they are $8000! They're not making any more of them...
This is one of my favourite pinball machines ever. I finally was able to get one in December of last year. Always a fun machine to play

Dude, your excitement was making me excited! I can't wait to get this now. Great review.
What a great vid! Always worth the wait.. now all you need to finish your pin collection is this little title called Medieval Madness :)
@brettv8 Yes it is because the circuity on the machine either wasn't originally designed for LEDs or the designers of the circuit board got lazy and make the LED flicker to simulate dimming rather then actually lowering the voltage. Ever heard of Space Cadet 3D Pinball for Windows?

Man what a cool review! Thanks for sharing, really well done and lots of cool info! Got a sub from me for sure!
Like a moth to a flame, I was near to fall in the 'Alien Invasion' segment on this game and would love to see an example of that game mode after hitting the Nuclear Power Plant bumpers constantly. Superb review.
Wow you're so lucky having all this! Anyway, great video
Used to play pinball while waiting for the X-men and TMNT arcade to open up. Pinball is fun as hell.
Nice playing John. I love this pinball machine, it's a blast to play.
You're doing a great job with these pinball videos! More more!
So... I was wondering... Why is there a stray apostrophe in that "Simpson[']s" up there, both in the title and the description?
... I will live in this basement. Dude, u r a pro at what u do, u have a thing for arcade. You my freind, are a hero.
I found a Family Guy pin by the same company that made this game at the Reboot Arcade Bar in Downtown Winston. removing the glass to film the gameplay is an excellent idea. Nice video, thanks!

Is there a bonus for hitting the homer head, or is it blocked by pegs or something?
Looks like I will be adding this Pin to the collection soon !!
this is so cool I cant believe you got rid of it ..DOHH !!!
You said pinball 10 times the first minute
Whirlwind was the game that got me interested in pinball too. I wish I could afford to buy real arcade and pinball games.

What's your opinion on mods for pinball? I know they make the alien for the towers and it blinks too
Cool Video! Suggestion: you removed the glass top right? why not just simply pick the ball up and place it where you want in order to show your viewers what the different parts of the table do?
Just sayin...

John great job on the Simpson pinball machine!
This guy is smart at this game

This was one of my favorite pinball machines.
Just wondering why you sold this pin. I have a chance to buy a Mint 2009 TSPP but haven't decided yet.
@exoticcar5482 The service buttons are on the coin door! (on the inside)
OMFG I LOVE UR BASEMENT! I WISH I HAVE A GAMING BASEMENT TOO!!!!
This is my dream , to own a Simpson’s Pinball Party machine 😍
Ooooh!! You got it in the "GARAGE" to start a bonus? Well, la-di-da, Mr. French Man! It's a car hole.
Lol jon the last 2 vids i'm haunted by the sound of tapper. I love that game :P
Looks like the hardest pinball game to beat
I have a question: Does every machine of this game a Ball saved feature? or do u need to change that in the service menu or.... cause my Ball saved feature does not work, so i really need help with this!
It's set to off by default. It's under standard adjustments, Number 38, Freeze time. Then you can change it to how ever long you want it for
Fellow KLOV'r in the house!!! Dammit John!!! Why do you have all of the pins that I want!!!??? Except for NGG,you can have that one lol.
where are the buttons to get to and control the service menu?
this is one of the pins that I want to have in my permanent collection... one day
Thanks, I'm just going to buy it, There quite rare here in Australia, it will look good sitting next to my LOTR's
Lol I had the exact same thoughts about pinball, now i love it.
Great channel btw.
Awesome review of this pinball!
im picking this up in a couple of weeks i cant wait!
Awww, I wonder if my mom plays with her wizarding world!
I bought a lot of these games broken and cheap. It's a lot of hard work!
Krusty's Last Stand.
Lol. Great name.
Wow, that Simpsons pinball is 'epic'. And I rarely use that word.
Hey John, I'm looking for a good pinball machine to buy, what would be your 'dream machine'?
Do you have the Simpsons arcade game?
I have a change to get a TSPP, and may do it, but I am concerned that it seems really complicated, especially for people not experienced at playing pinball. There is an awful lot going on in this game for sure!

@mrgutchman Those aren't my games. Those are pictures of friends games.
A heaven of pinball tables !
Love the pin, have had it a couple months now.
Every now and then, I push the start button, takes a minute to kick on. Doesn't do it all the time, am thinking, one of those things, all the bells and whistles and electronics.
Anybody else have a delay reaction, sometimes, on the start button?

Just pick the ball up and hit the things with your fingers
All you need is twilight zone and Adams family.
How much did this cost you to buy?
could you please do a more detailed video of the rules?
Looks like the arcade changed over the years!
why do you have to take off the glass?
You can't hit Homer. He is protected.
Do you have simpsons arcade? That 4 player game like tmnt
Is NBA Fastbreak cheap today?
I need to eat peas and carrots so I can get that pinball game.
Thanks!
Excellent review.

I have to agree Simpsons Party Pinball is the best
Doesn't Homer say "D'oh!'' on this?
SPP is a great, great pin.
They should be using OLED displays in these machines...
What happens when you complete the game
Dude, if i owned that game i would be getting 100,000,000 highscores cuz i would play it so much
how much was it theirs one ebay now for 6,000 is that good price or you can get them cheaper because 6,000 is a bit to much
I think they go for $3k-$4k collector to collector. $6k is too much IMO. I sold mine for $3k over a year ago or more.
Not sure where you are located but here is a home use only one for $4,400 - boston.craigslist.org/bmw/vgm/4236901907.html
thanks for looking but i have decided to get one of those old ones and save money for a better one
please make a video of No Good Gophers pinball!
how about making a sega Turbo video next?
So please pick up American Pie's favorite hilarious and religious Comedy Central Pinball game South Park Pinball.
Very cool. Bet you got a pretty penny for this one!
