they won't work if you are showing off to these to a defender the trick that should be used comes on it owns according to the situation's so learning variety of those help you in some serious situations

These are sick, you pulled them off so smoothly...
after practicing all week I pulled off the mesmomeg in futsal quite easily (though not as gracefully as I would have liked). However, when I tried the wingrove-cruyff... lets just say it doesn't work on a futsal court unless the edges of your boots have intense grip. I ended up rolling my ankle and had to go off for the rest of the game.
It looks so easy in slow motion but when you try doing it, It is very hard

Navid Khan hmm well in games it can be sometimes effective, there are defenders who do not like tricky people so they will stick their feet aggressively, but there are also defenders that do get afraid and holds himself and watches what the person will do when.. after observing the defender you have to decide to pull out a trick or not.

guys, my aproach to learn this is the same i use to learn songs on the piano. first do it super slow.. really slow. once you get it perfectly, increase speed a little. it will take time but in the end you will end up doing it perfectly and fast. be patient. its working for me it will work for you.

This is`nt to hard but to do this in a match under pressure is much harder
Fairly simple tricks that looks super cool, but not the most useful ones in a real match.
These you might do in street football or futsal but in games, these are risky and ineffective. I wouldn't try to complicate too much in games. An example is Messi. He rarely uses these complicated moves. The game of football is very simple.

As for Messi the difference between him and Maradonna was the fact that Diego did take the risk of learning carrying out very complicated manouvres on the big stage. Messi could have done the same thing. The players around Messi for Argentina were much better than the players on Maradonna's team. How many world cups did Messi win and how many did Maradonna win? Not really useful in a in-game situation. Most defenders will just pick the ball of you.. No defender is gonna buy them moves, best skill moves in a in-game situation is stil the Step-over, Ronaldo Chop, Elastico and roullette, the easy tricks are the best tricks. They can be performed quick and un inspected.
A good defender, in 1 v 1, watches the ball first, the feet around the ball second, and the rest only peripherally. So a good defender isn't fooled by body fakes or too much fancy movement. It's how Puyol plays - he focuses on the ball, not the player.
I agree about the simplest tricks being the best in-game. The ones that work are the ones (like Elastico) that move the ball one way, making the defender shift his weight, then take the ball the other way. The trick is figuring out the right timing - how fast to go left-right or left-right-left - to get the defender off-balance, then burn him.
***** most defenders, when 1 v 1, focus on the midsection (belly button). You can't fake that part of your body without dragging your whole body with it. Obviously, in your periphery you want to keep an eye on the ball so you can go for the steal, but you can get juked by a ball fake. Footwork can cross you up, head fakes can get you, but a player can't fake his stomach. It's the same thing basketball and football players are taught.
+TheFrede2300 Not entirely true. I've seen Iniesta do the "Wingrove-Cruyff" and get through 2 or 3 defenders all at once. If you can do them properly, and spontaneously, they COULD work out to be beautiful.

Rules for the defenders against tricks like this:
1. Watch the ball and ONLY the ball!
2. When you see an opening, strike with your foot forward tipping the ball away from possesion
3. If you manage that, just glance at the guy who just had the ball in their feet and admire his worthless efforts with a smile.

The defender doesn't try and tackle him much because it would be hard to see/do the skill clearly/well...although in a game these skills would be hard to pull off, no matter how well you can do them without a defender.

ball skills hardly equate to being actually good at football, who knows if they are even good. doing moves on an opponent who's not trying is great, but not at all indicative of their actual skill level.
woot woot Jeremy Lynch (the darker one) was on britains got talent for skills, and he was on Arsenal youth at age 15 and Billy has played professionally too, im just not sure where. I played last year with them for a skill learner thing and they were amazing :p

Benide B I'm a footballer, 11 and just started football at 8 yrs of age. I was talented in defending, I didn't do anything but I was even better than those who had started learning how to defend from young yrs. I was talented. I moved on to sweeper and realized it was my best place and then finally a GK, now I'm the best goalkeeper in Dagenham Park, Dagenham. However, i'm the fifth best player in Dagenham park, counting all those invulnerable strikers and midfielders and still I'm fifth best for dribbling and skills. If you ever see me, try me. We beat Riverside 5-4. I was the GK. You might not know the schools I'm talking about so you can search them up. I'm a solid player and naturally play as a cm but since our cm is strong and can do nothing to improve it, my only place left was GK and right now I'm the best in Dagenham Park. We are playing on Monday and I'm the GK. I've never got substituted, you might not believe this but I can prove it because we have no substitute GK. Yh just saying, not all GK are weak in dribbling and skills.

Quick feet and all, looks nice on a youtube clip but in a game pretty much useless, I 'd much rather stick to basics and put effort in perfecting passes, field awareness and dribbling. Football is simple and that's what makes it effective and beautiful. This looks kind of ridiculous, not in a bad way but not in a good way
True although the basics don't really get you knoticed by other people except for coaches the basics are and have always been good to learn soccer I started out with the basics every now and then I do a maradona (roulette) or elastico but all that's just for show team work and passing win a game you can't take everyone. Well unless you're Messi
