  • Noah was a normal middle-schooler in the state of Lockings until he went on a walk with his mother in sixth grade. Abandoned by his annoyed mother, he is saved from a group of gangsters called "Hoods" in an alley by a high-schooler named Marlin, who took him under his wing to train him how to defend himself. Sparring with him and his little cousin Nathaniel and spending each day with them, Noah becomes best friends with the two, helping them with whatever they needed. Spar Dialogue (Marlin and Aiden talking with Noah and Nathan while they're sparring):
“Yeah, instead, I had to!” Aiden exclaimed. “If I wasn’t there, you would’ve been dead meat.” Marlin glared at him. “He nearly knocked me out with that kick!” he supplied, “Eli came up behind me, but I blocked his kick with two hands. But I’ll take over!” Aiden volunteered. “I grabbed Alex’s arms and threw him into the wall behind me, leaving Eli. Oh, poor Eli. Alex knew more about combat, while Eli was surviving just on Alex’s personal training.”
“And Alex is not good at teaching,” Marlin remarked. Aiden continued, “He blocked my kick, but once I went faster, man, it was pathetic. I kicked him into the wall next to Marlin and stepped on his d-"
"Watch it!" Marlin quickly interrupted. Aiden laughed. “I’m sorry! But won’t they have to learn the word anyway?” Marlin sighed. “Not now. Especially not Nathan. He’s too young to be spitting those foul words.” Aiden laughed again. “You say ‘foul words’, yet you say them everyday,” he accused. “Not the point,” Marlin grumbled. “Just keep going.”
